Hawaii did NOT destroy originals. They made a statement saying so. See post 110.

Are they sure the dog didn’t eat it?

Yes, I know. I didn’t say that they had destroyed originals.
The Director of Communications for the Department of Health, Janice Okubo was quoted as saying; “We’ve got copies of the copies.”

That’s on the same order as “the dog ate my homework”.

Good grief. A fire? Where? At the DOH, the apartment? I guess by next week we’ll hear that a strong gust of wind blew it away or maybe a flood...

How much longer until he becomes a distant memory?

A strong gust of wind blew it away... and then the neighbor’s dog ate it.

Yep, pretty sure that is what happened.

Well thank you. Whew I’m glad it’s finally settled. What a relief to now have proof. So we can just take our newspaper announcement and get a passport, drivers license, etc? Cool!

Actually Joe,the burden of proof is on the Birthers. You would have to come up with something called evidence to prove that Obama was bron in Kenya/Canada/in orbit around Rigel 7 (I don't know what sect of Birtherism you belong to.) Did I mention that the evidence would have to be admissable? I mean an enonymous email to Orly doesn't count.

Obama could, under the Federal Rules of Evidence, intorduce his birth certificate -- and he does have one, and has gotten both passports, and a drivers license, with it --, and he could have himself, or others, testify as to his personal history, and he could introduce the newspaper announcement of his birth as an "ancient document" that is documents over 20 years old.

When my son was born we called and had the announcement put in the paper. Daughter, we forgot and she doesn’t have one.

And how many times, before Birtherism began, did you place a fake birth announcement in the newspaper so that an illegal alien could run for President in 2052? How many times did your family, or a co-worker? Never. That is why 20 year old+ newspaper birth announcements, and the like, are considered so trust worthy that they are automatically admissible in Federal Court. Because either the birth announcement is right, or there is a 50 year old conspiracy, invoilving both political parties, both Houses of Congress, the media, and every lawyer is the country, except Orly, Berg & Kreep.

You choose to believe the latter. Bully for you. Freepers who don't look for Black Helicopters when they leave the house will choose to work in the upcoming elections, to defeat Obama.

So what were you saying?

I said that they computerized their files in 2001 and what anyone requesting a birth certificate gets since then is the computer generated copy.

It isn’t up to American citizens to prove a negative. It is up to a candidate to prove they are eligible.

If it’s true that there was a fire, there should be some news accounts of said fire and other people whose birth records were stored at the location would be destroyed also. This is such BS it’s unreal.

A strong gust of wind blew it away... and then the neighbor’s dog ate it.

And everything was washed away in the flood!

As a side note, I think I’m going to order one of those BS flags. It would come in handy during some of the meetings I have to attend.

In NYC, we has a whole “I-Team.” One was a former detective lieutenant, one was a librarian (deadly in a public records search) another researcher was a very talented musician and writer of music. He could “see” the most obscure interpersonal criminal relationships long before we had all the details. We also had a receptionist/clerk in a wheelchair. She had a mind like a bear trap.
