ABC Family TV is not family-friendly.
Not ‘family’ about that show or channel
“Unexpected” strikes again.
It changes as soon as Fox sold it.
It immediately went PRO-gay.
Fox didn’t sell it (ABC “Family”) Pat Robertson(700 Club/CBN) did.
Sounds like a decent job for a single mother- as long as she keeps her clothes on!
Wasn’t it FOX FAMILY just before the sale to ABC?
Nope it was just “The Family Channel”. Fox Family was something different.
Is Fox Family still around?
Maybe it was the timing, but it seemed that “Fox Family ‘disappeared at the same time that “ABC Family” appeared and I thought one became the other.
Thanks for the correction.
Wait.
Here’s what Wiki says:
ABC Family is an American cable television network currently owned by ABC Family Worldwide Inc., a division of The Walt Disney Company. ABC Family offers contemporary and inclusive programming, including series, movies, events, and enhanced ABC encore presentations. It was founded in 1977 as an extension of televangelist Pat Robertson’s ministry, and eventually evolved into The Family Channel. In 1998, it was sold to Fox Kids Worldwide Inc and renamed Fox Family.[1][2] On October 24, 2001, Fox Family Worldwide Inc was sold to The Walt Disney Company, the sale to Disney included Saban Entertainment and Fox Family.[3][4] This channel generally offers programming for older teens, young adults, and young families.
So;
Family Channel to Fox Family to ABC Family.
Thanks for the info (will be good trivia for future use).
