No doubt about it. The New York Times and Washington Post will feature stories about how much Senator Brown “has grown” since moving to Washington!

>>> A definite traitor is he. Another rino, and we put him in the Senate with all kinds of bells and whistles. I have no use for him.

This thread is so depressingly childish and predictable. And I did.

“And at some point you can depend the Obama administration will find issues his state would wish and demand he support. That’s a lot of failed litmus tests for both the purists and the paulists.

Will people accept the reality that a centrist is better then a Kennedy Machine puppet? Or can we look forward yet again to Truth Files, barrages of RINO and traitor accusations, and snide and petty posts about his nude modeling photos.”

I’m not sure what everyone expected from him. He’s from Massachussetts. Your not getting a conservative out of that state.

This is a serious question and I hope it gets some thoughtful, non-inflammatory feedback:

What really is the difference between the people of Massachusetts, which I have only visited a few times on business, and Texas, where I live? My perception is that there really is a general fundamental attitudinal divide modulo the exceptions in both states.

Is the acceptance of liberalism in the Bay State rooted in demographics? Is it the educational system? Is it cultural and passed along from parents to children? To be sure, there are pockets of liberalism here in Texas (Austin for example) but what are the factors that year after year cause the people Massachusetts to lean left?
