The Hill today is reporting that Harry Reid will be using the Reconciliation process to pass ObamaCare. The Democrats, who have been offering “bipartisanship,” apparently see the meeting on the 25th as a formality. They actually intend on having a bill done within the next 60 days.

Democrats will finish their health reform efforts within the next two months by using a majority-vote maneuver in the Senate, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said.
“I’ve had many conversations this week with the president, his chief of staff, and Speaker Pelosi,” Reid said during an appearance Friday evening on “Face to Face with Jon Ralston” in Nevada. “And we’re really trying to move forward on this.”
“We’ll do a relatively small bill to take care of what we’ve already done,” Reid said, affirming that Democrats would use the reconciliation process. “We’re going to have that done in the next 60 days.”
Reid said that the final Democratic bill is likely to be unveiled Monday night.
Many of us have been predicting that the upcoming meeting is a sham, and that the Democrats are only doing it for appearances. This only confirms our thinking. The Democrats fear that their majorities are gone in November, so they are going to try to ram something through no matter what.
I believe that they are doing this for the purposes of immortality. They know that a government program, once passed, is virtually indestructible. The pressure that the left can wield against a future Congress administration is considerable. The rent-a-mob can be deployed, and the MSM will spout the party line 24-7. They will wage their typical propaganda and intimidation campaigns in an effort to maintain their power.
That’s where we come in. Of course, the GOP needs to state and restate their position. They MUST attempt to communicate with the people. In return, we have to support those elected officials that have supported us and what we believe. If the rent-a-mob shows up, we show up too. The days of complacency are over-for all time. The past year only shows that tyranny has crept in for decades, and Obama, Pelosi, and Reid are only dining at the table that has been set for them. As Jefferson said, “The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.” I think we understand that now.
Harry go ahead you will be voted out and then you will be burned at the stake.
We have lost control of OUR government. And just think, WE pay these @$$holes.

Sean had the best idea for Republicans on this. No meeting. Zigzag the country to explain what’s happening. Advertise and vehemently shout “NO” at every turn!
IMHO this is just a ploy to keep everybody riled up and distracted. I think the media is playing us like a fiddle.
I agree with everything but the no meeting. I think they should go and present their plan. It will be televised. They’ll have an audience there. They can talk about how the Dem plan will raise costs and cost jobs. Then, when all of that happens, they have more credibility.

He doesn’t have the votes. I doubt the votes are in the House to do the same.
Time for the GOP to totally shut down the senate. Time to filibuster the attendance roll calls. Block the parking lots with their cars. Time to do any and all things they can to block and impede the socialists/communists. They should have the cajones to climb up on ol’ Harry Reid’s podium and stage a sit-in....desperate times call for desperate measures.
