Could the school use the excuse that they included this software so that if the laptop was stolen or lost it might be found more easily? This will be an interesting case to follow.

Could the school use the excuse that they included this software so that if the laptop was stolen or lost it might be found more easily? This will be an interesting case to follow. They might try to use that argument, but it still wouldn't justify random spying on kids.
I would imagine that they'd have to have a report of the laptop stolen or missing to be able to engage that feature.
