It is an interesting truism that the South is considered a more desirable place to live by both Southerners AND Yankees, largely because of the way people treat each other. Northerners are welcome, but Yankees come down and try to change to the same shitty culture they left and are too stupid to understand why Southerners hate them. In their ignorance, or just plain stupidity, they chalk it all up to “still fighting the war.”

Here we have many many tourists and a couple of college kids.
They walk around and rive around like they own the place. One guy from NJ in walmart here was trying to get his money back from CD he bought.
Now the practise is that you go to the door and the item you have gets stamped but no he didn’t want to do that and so went to the counter and asked for his money .
Well the lady working told him in a very polite way that he had to have it stamped as she has no idea if he got it off the shelf or not.
He fumed and shouted he wantrd his money abck and still she was polite.
He then fumed that this is not how they d it in NJ and he wants his money back.
It was only after a group of good ole boys had, had enough and to his left turned round and shouted “hey bubba we’re not in NJ , now leave the women alone who is doing her job and understand boy that we do things different down here”
Yes the guy form NJ left crying and moaning.
Now that is just one issue which we see every day here now .
They have no concept that they are not liked , that they are not looked upon as some cool city slicker but thye are looked as , as fools, arrogant ones at that.
If you come down here then live how we live but for you to come down here and tell us that we should not fly a flag, we should not talk the way southerners do, the food is different then stay up north
we want normal traditional families, go fishing, hunting, mud bogging, drive pick ups not those cheesy box on wheels types, we like land and do not want those gated stuck up no character gated communities.
We dont like living off each other and for Gods sake.
learn to drive.
if you are turning left then wait behind the light not in the centre(note not NE spelling) waiting to turn.
if you come to an intersection and the light is green but there is traffic then wait behind the green light until you can pull up or the light changed again to green ion the next turn around of change.
Do not block the intersection and they had better remember this
we down here do not like it if you bring your NE, NY, NJ attitude of giving the finger because if you do give it then be prepared to do it again further down the road to our faces and don’t look shocked when you have that tap on your window waiting at the next light.
ask a southerner would they fight to keep the north and they will say no let them go.
Ask a northerner to fight to keep the south and they say yes they should.
How many southerners move north anyway compared to those moving yankees moving south?
from IL to KS, from MA to SC, from OH to TN.
they mess up their own states then move bringing their arrogant political voting ways and views with them.
My wife is form MA and I got her to move down here to St Augustine but she loves the south, loves southerners, thinks of the north as arrogant folks for the most part and never complains about the food, accents or flags ;like some of them do
