The creation of the Federal Department of Education is one of the biggest travesties in the American history. The schools in the USA are run by the states. The Local Governments license their teachers, approve the curriculum programs and manage the school system including buildings equipment, transportation, and food. Every problem and every question a mother or a student has can be answered on a State level. The school system is funded by state income, sale and property taxes.......... The intrusion of the Federal government in education began when Jimmy Carter created the Department of Education as a separate cabinet seat. Ronald Reagan tried to close the new bureaucratic monstrosity, but was stopped by the democrats running the House..... The creation of The $4 billion “Race to the Top” is not the only Obama education pet project. Investing in Innovation Fund will cost us $650 million. In case you are wondering: “innovation” means finding innovating way to close the achievement gap. Teacher and Leader Pathways will take another $405 million. One of my favorite is the Teacher and Leader Innovation Fund ($950 million).. $3 billion dollars were appropriated by Obama for the School Turnaround Grants. At the same time the President cut the $3 billion NASA Constellation Systems budget ($3 billion dollars). The program was supposed to take us to the Moon and Mars..........

And how about the bureau of indian affairs? And a host of other worhtless leach agencies on society that are sucking us dry?
About 60 percent of the Federal govt is absolutely worthless.
Don’t forget the NEA. A major cancer on America’s indoctrination system.
Most of the Cabinet positions that do not pertain to the Defense of our Nation are nothing but “money pits” which should be abolished.
While we’re at it, Impeach Obama.
Unfortunately Bush had the “No child left behind” thing - which Obama put on steroids with his “race to the top”
And the IRS and OSHA and EPA. The economy will BOOM!
I say just delete ANYTHING and EVERYTHING that Jimmy and Lyndon did to us.
And libtard parents and other credulous types send their kids to these hell holes.
You could totally defund every department and every agency except Defense, VA, and Homeland Security and you would still have a $1 trillion dollar deficit. The killers are the entitlements - Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. Unless you talk about cutting costs there then you could do away with Education 10 times over and you wouldn’t hardly dent the deficit.
Right these Socialist programs should be eliminated and paid off. It would of been a REAL stimulus to give all the Socialist Security money back instead of wasting it. Terminate all Socialism!
And all the tax-payers pay for that
and the ATF and HLSD
Conservatives could shut down the entire federal education bureaucracy TOMORROW with ZERO government assistance simply by pulling their kids out of government schools.
We have got to keep Home Schooling going without fed or state control! BigEd is forever nipping away at homeschooling parents, interfering, —BigEd includes the Union too, don’t forget. Civil service should nevr have been unionized.
Big Ed is a great term to describe the beast!
