It’s a Colorado thing. Range Republicans also do all that they can to prevent drilling for uranium and oil and to prevent owners from using their private properties. It’s the NIMBY/HOA, local big government State.

I think “taxing and spending” are the operative terms. Sounds like the legislature there wants to be free and loose with the people’s money.
