This was a political “mob hit” if I ever saw one.

Glenn’s always said some pretty wacky theories himself, but people still listen to him.

Here’s a conspiracy theory for you. Good ol’ fashioned dirty politics. Exactly what Glenn’s been talking about all these years and HE is the hit man. He even touted how he liked Perry and hung out with him before he brought Medina on. He said he doesn’t endorse anybody? If that wasn’t an endorsement I don’t know what is.

I believe this was put on by the old guard Republicans here in TX ala the Perry camp. They were getting scared and needed to release the dogs on Medina. Wow! This is our TX Republican party. No wonder I left.

Sorry Ricky. I’ll take a wack job over a “tax-and-steal-your-land” job any day. I’m STILL voting Media!

Asking somebody if they are a 9/11 truther and having the person not answer the yes or no question is not a “political mob hit”. I do not see how Beck could have been more fair. Do you think he should have sent her a list of the questions he was going to ask so she would not make herself look dumb? You sound like the Obama people who were mad at “Joe the Plumber” for asking a question that made their guy look bad. Candidate Medina came off as an indecisive at best or a 9/11 truther nut-job at worst. She screwed herself over. Even if she is not a 9/11 truther, the way she handled this question was not up to the standard that I expect from my Governor. I don’t think the “old guard GOP” set this up to “get” Medina, unless you think asking a candidate a very simple question is “realeasing the dogs on her”. It seems that conspiracies are everywhere for folks who are determined to see them.

"He even touted how he liked Perry and hung out with him before he brought Medina on."

Perhaps your right and Beck had it out for her from the beginning. However, up until that point in the interview I thought she was doing real good and had some good ideas about doing away with property taxes in Texas and instituting a consumption tax. She was saying all the right things right up until the end of the interview. All she had to do was say no she doesn't believe the government was involved in 9/11 and it would have been a good interview for her IMO. So no matter what Beck's intentions were, she screwed herself over.

I’ll vote for Medina because all she did was bungle an interview. I’m not looking for a media star to set the policy course in Austin (although it does help).

That said, and while I agree that Beck and his staff like Perry, the question was a fair question and she blew it. In fact, it was an unimpressive interview before Beck got to the question. Medina probably hasn’t had anyone on staff who knows anything about preparing her for radio (which is quite different from TV), and I doubt that there was any effort to prep her for Beck.

I’m fed up with the establishment Republicans too.
