Did Glenn Beck Set Up Texas Gubernatorial Candidate Debra Medina?
Conservative Examiner ^ | 2/11/2010 | Anthony G. Martin

Explosive information hit the radio airwaves today as it was revealed that Texas gubernatorial candidate Debra Medina appeared to confirm in an interview that she is a so-called '9/11 truther.' The interview was conducted by Glenn Beck on the radio.

Immediately the Internet was burning up with quick responses both from Medina supporters and from those who jumped to the conclusion that the candidate had 'outed' herself as part of a movement which believes that the U.S. government had a hand in bringing about the terrorist attack on 9/11.

I agree. A softball question and she was wasn't on her game. Mrs. Medina, say bye, bye to your political career for at least the next 8 to 10 years.

Exactly how did Couric set up Palin? If Palin inexpertly answered a question, who’s fault is that.

The only possible setting up by Couric/CBS would be in editing.

I am waiting and have been for a while for Beck to do an anti-McCain show and interview J.D. Hayworth. I want Glenn to take on Lindsey Graham, Olympia Snowe and Susan Collins. IT is imperative that Beck do that kind of show.

“I was asked a question on the Glenn Beck show today regarding my thoughts on the so-called 9/11 truth movement. I have never been involved with the 9/11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way. No one can deny that the events on 9/11 were a tragedy for all Americans and especially those families who lost loved ones.

The question surprised me because it’s not relevant to this race or the issues facing Texans. This campaign has always been about private property rights and state sovereignty. It is focused on the issues facing Texans. It is not a vehicle for the 9-11 truth movement or any other group.

“The question was about 9-11, so I don’t see how even a moron like her could think it had something to do with 0bama’s birth certificate.”

Why is a Californicator attacking a Texas candidate for Governor. Best worry about Arnie.

And if that was the answer she gave on Glen Beck's show, she wouldn't be having this problem.

But you cannot put toothpaste back into the tube without making a mess of things.

She made a mess of things.

And obviously she was clear that this was about 9-11 and not anything about a birth certificate.

Posting my opinion that she, like other truthers, is a moron; goes far beyond the confines of Texas.

These morons need to be called out, and I will call a spade a spade.

And I will “worry” about Arnold Swartzekeneddy when he is up for election. But if he came out as a 9-11 “truther” you can bet I would be right there calling him a moron, nor would I surmise that a California address was needed to make that surmise.

We have all watched the planes fly into the buildings. We have seen the fires, the damage, the huge clouds of smoke.

How can anyone still be stupid enough to believe the planes and the fires did not bring down the buildings?

Because paranoid people are never satisfied with the obvious explanation of something. No matter how overwhelming the evidence is, they just discount that because of their strong inner feeling that there must be a deeper conspiracy-related explanation.

The poll was from yesterday, the day it happened.

I am sure most Texans didn't hear about it or read about it by the time that poll was taken.

And if Texas wants to elect a “truther” then Texas can knock itself out, I suppose; but it wouldn't speak well of their intelligence.

I also like the idea that many weak willed or weak minded people prefer to think that there is a vast evil conspiracy in control because then at least SOMEONE is in control.

It is shattering to the psyche of many that a small conspiracy of nutjobs can kill three thousand people, so they invent a massive conspiracy and coverup.

‘Only with the help and collusion of the ‘powers that be’ could three thousand Americans be killed in one event.’ they tell themselves, and hopefully they derive some comfort from it.

Re: Softball.
I agree with you. But the Medinabots say he set her up. So my Beck/grenade thing was a response to them. She spontaneously combusted when he hit her with that simple question. Thanks again for the pic.

The truthers have apparently never heard of Occam’s Razor.
It could cut their heads off and they wouldn’t notice.

Nope, he merely asked a question of interest to voters, sane ones that is, and she couldn’t give a straight NO answer but waffled and it was apparent she wanted to say yes but knew she shouldn’t. Her campaign is now back pedaling but to late. She did it to herself, Beck didn’t.

No one could put words into the woman’s mouth. She spoke what she believed and revealed herself as the moron she is. In all of the horror that was September 11th., 2001 for anyone to suggest it was a ‘’government job’’ fills me with a fury that quite honestly cause me to commit murder. I mean it. There isn’t at least one night of every week since that I don’t have a nightmare of flames and people falling.....

Medina is an imbicile. Everyone who donated the $641,184 her website claims should ask for their money back.

Set up or not, eventually this would have jumped out and bite her in the a$$. Dems and msm would have on her like white on rice 24/7. Agree or not, Beck did us a favor and averted any potential future disasters

AND she was on friendly territory! All she needed to do was give a straight forward and honest answer. Instead she gets defensive and goes into politico speech mode. You gotta know Beck is gonna smell the bs!
