She was never a serious candidate here in Texas. She brought very little to the table and was trying to ride the anti-incumbent wave into office. Rick Perry may not be as Conservative as I would like, but I am not ready to turn Austin over to a political novice. We need some backbone during Obama’s next two years and Perry showed flashes of a spine during the last year. KBH can enjoy retirement. She lost my support years ago.

I encourage everyone who is interested to listen to the interview in context that was posted earlier in this thread. Beck gave her every chance to end the rumors about her crackpot ideas and she kept digging a deeper ditch.

This woman has NO business running for a state office in Texas. However, Colorado might embrace her.

but [I] have seen some very credible evidence that our government was complicit in the 9/11 attacks.

Well it looks like you only lived one extra day simply to peddle truther nonsense in addition to your other trollerisms.

Let us provide you with very credible evidence of a non-governmental conspiracy to produce large quantities of ozone where once a tower of liberal insanity stood.

Could the government have also done things to prevent the banking collapse? Things that Barney Frank, Louis Freeh, and Jamie Gorelick blocked?

Chuck, you’ve said some dumb things in your day, but this may be up with the best (I mean worst).

Which has cost Americans more and swayed the political course of this country?

If the goal was to destroy the WTC to further “war” efforts, then why did we use information obtained from KSM to thwart the Heathrow attack?

Or was that “myth”?

I think we’re all still waiting to see your “evidence”. I’d also like you to tell us more about what a “good, conservative Christian” you are. Like all the Democrat trolls, you say too much.

I was asked a question on the Glenn Beck show today regarding my thoughts on the so-called 9/11 truth movement. I have never been involved with the 9-11 truth movement, and there is no doubt in my mind that Muslim terrorists flew planes into those buildings on 9/11. I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way....

So this morning she believed there were valid questions to be asked about government involvement, and now there is no doubt it was Muslim terrorists?

What did she dig up in the past 3 hours that changed her mind? Maybe she can pass it along to the other whack nuts that believe this stuff and everyone can STFU about it!

You said....You are comparing our Government to those who carry out atocities to their citizens? Go Away.

Just a reminder that....The line between good and evil does not cross race, gender, ethnicity or national boundaries. It crosses every human heart.

New Agency Proposed to Oversee Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae (NYT September 11, 2003)

The Bush administration today recommended the most significant regulatory overhaul in the housing finance industry since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago....

...And it would determine whether the two are adequately managing the risks of their ballooning portfolios.

The plan is an acknowledgment by the administration that oversight of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- which together have issued more than $1.5 trillion in outstanding debt -- is broken. A report by outside investigators in July concluded that Freddie Mac manipulated its accounting to mislead investors, and critics have said Fannie Mae does not adequately hedge against rising interest rates.

..."These two entities -- Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- are not facing any kind of financial crisis," said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. "The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."

Representative Melvin L. Watt, Democrat of North Carolina, agreed. "I don't see much other than a shell game going on here, moving something from one agency to another and in the process weakening the bargaining power of poorer families and their ability to get affordable housing, Mr. Watt said.

And this guy got to LEAD the investigation instead of answering questions "truthfully" under oath.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jamie_Gorelick

Even though she had no previous training nor experience in finance, Gorelick was appointed Vice Chairman of Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) from 1997 to 2003. She served alongside former Clinton Administration official Franklin Raines.[3] During that period, Fannie Mae developed a $10 billion accounting scandal

...Investigation by the OFHEO detailed in their official report on the accounting scandal in 2006 on page 66 that from 1998 to 2002 Gorelick received a total of $26,466,834.00 in income

Nice payoff for selling out this nation's taxpayers.

http://people.forbes.com/profile/louis-j-freeh/13404

Mr. Freeh served as Vice Chairman, General Counsel, Corporate Secretary and Ethics Officer to MBNA Corporation, a bank holding company, from 2001 until its acquisition by Bank of America in January 2006

From one botched career path to another. Maybe they should assume leadership roles at ABC and CBS and run the media industries into the ground too.

I encourage everyone who is interested to listen to the interview in context that was posted earlier in this thread. Beck gave her every chance to end the rumors about her crackpot ideas and she kept digging a deeper ditch.

It is also being portrayed, on the other threads here at FR, as Beck setting her up, playing gotcha, in the tank for Perry, etc., when it stemmed from his expressing interest in her the other day noting her surge in the polls, he said he'd like to get her on the air. He received several emails (I believe Pat did as well) warning him that she is a truther. Why did he get so many people to tell him this? Why, when he asked her about it, did she not answer with a specific no, of course not? Why does it come across as though there have been earlier discussion, seemingly public, about the idea that our government was somehow complicit in the 9/11 attack, to the extent that these people informed Glenn? Why does she now conveniently write "I have not seen any evidence nor have I ever believed that our government was involved or directed those individuals in any way. No one can deny that the events on 9-11 were a tragedy for all Americans and especially those families who lost loved ones," when her immediate response was "Well, some interesting questions have been asked ..."??

The first thing out of your mouth, especially if you are caught unawares as she says she was, is the most accurate, it is uncolored by later reasoning, input from others, second thoughts, whathaveyou. As you note, she was given plenty of opportunity to correct herself if she did indeed mispeak in her first reply. Instead, she used the time as a campaign stump, talked over Glenn numerous times.

This also from her statement:

The question surprised me because it's not relevant to this race or the issues facing Texans. This campaign has always been about private property rights and state sovereignty. It is focused on the issues facing Texans. It is not a vehicle for the 9-11 truth movement or any other group.

It was and is relevant if there has been an indication somehow, the citizen has every right to question beliefs regarding anything when judging a candidate standing for public office. It is completely within the bounds of a member of the press, (Glenn hosting a current events radio show counts as such) to investigate and question on our behalf. If she indeed has never believed our government was complicit, then she ought to have said this and asked Glenn why he was asking her about it, demand (off the air if necessary) the names and emails of those who were in effect, defaming her. She loses on all counts in this one, and as SnakeDoctor posted earlier in another thread, Beck did the Tea Party movement an incredible favor but not allowing this to taint it.

Should citizens question their government? yes. Generally thats what elections are about. That’s also why your elected representatives have office phone numbers. Should we question the obvious? That is to say that which is undeniably true? To use Ms. Medinas logic: The Holocaust was a human tragedy, so many lives lost. But did the Nazis really perpetrate it? We certainly can assume they did but was there perhaps something in all of it that history has left out? Was there a darker, deeper force(country?) at work behind it. It does bear questioning as everyone has the right to question. This woman is a f**king moron. No wonder the people in Texas don’t want her.
