These people never stop generating the laughs.
There are thirty inches of snow in Washington, DC. Here in Macon, Georgia, an area global warming scientists have long predicted would become a desert, we are 24 inches into a rain surplus in the past 365 calendar days.
You know what this all means right? We need a new federal agency to study and report on the changing climate.
Commerce Secretary Gary Locke and Jane Lubchenco, head of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, announced NOAA will set up the new Climate Service to operate in tandem with NOAAs National Weather Service and National Ocean Service.
Whether we like it or not, climate change represents a real threat, Locke said Monday at a news conference.
Lubchenco added, Climate change is real, its happening now. She said climate information is vital to the wind power industry, coastal community planning, fishermen and fishery managers, farmers and public health officials.
Please tell me, when is the climate not changing? As we orbit the sun orbiting the center of the Milky Way Galaxy our climate will, as it has done since God first said Let there be light, continue to change.
There is nothing new under the sun. This is just the 21st century equivalent of the 5000 year old sun worshipping religions.
Don’t forget it’s Bush’s fault and we need a snow removal tax...
I predict that in the comings months, the weather will get warmer in Washington, DC, and the rest of the northern hemisphere as well.
The Nobel committee can just send my prize money to Jim, to keep the servers running, thanks in advance.
does anyone have a email adress for erik erikson?

We need a SNOW CZAR!!!
Finally, honest work for Al Gore.
All I can say is God is on our side, he proved them wrong.
I hope Washington D.C. get another two or three feet of snow tonight. The nation seems to work better when that pit of snakes is shut down.
Wasn’t Georgia under emergency drought conditions last year? Weren’t they complaining last year that lakes and reservoirs were practically below emergency levels?
Now they’re complaining there’s more rain than normal? Um, not to be picky or anything but don’t you need MORE rain than normal to make up for the lack of rain last year coupled with no change in usage draining existing water supplies?
Am I missing something here how this is a problem?
Are we not equally told that the water going into the Chesapeake Bay is tainted by all the rivers flowing into it bearing substantial populations along their banks? Try driving around PA, Maryland and Virginia and not noticing “Chesapeake Bay Watershed Area” signs along the highways. Now I don’t know about you but I seem to remember that 20-30 inches of snow melting causes quite a bit of flooding.
Just think what 30 inches of melting snow in 3 states is going to do for the poor Chesapeake Bay. I guarantee you will see stories how this thaw/melt is endangering the salinity levels and it’s another sign of climate change. Oh wait, maybe melting snow can be a global warming story instead.
"having weather", too--

And yes, it is a swindle- a fraud and a cheat and a scam-- a deliberately designed construct intended to con you out of things you hold dear-- money, and prosperity, and freedom... and a few other things, as well.

Good call. I would not bet against you on that one.
You can ask the agency questions. Be sure to ask how they manage to come up with temperature averages when they stop monitoring gauges that have been in use in the past.
They are now “gridding” the data using many fewer stations, omitting stations at higher elevations.

NOAA: Blizzard Rearranges Climate Change Announcement
Turns out the release was planned prepared ahead of the snowstorm, which shut federal agencies today and forced its senders to hold a press conference by telephone instead of at the National Press Club.
