First, congratulations to the Who Dats...the New Orleans Saints, Super Bowl Champions? Maybe I am living in an alternate reality like those guys on Lost...
Anyway, more importantly, what were the best ads on Super Bowl Night? My personal list...

You couldn’t have added your conjecture to one of the other 347 threads about last night’s superbowl ads??? Pimp.
I wonder how much money we taxpayers spent for the census ads? Completely useless, IMHO.
And that whole Census thing... I keep seeing ads locally (Dallas, TX) about how if you don't complete the census the area may miss out on federal funds. So is getting money from the government the point of the census now? It used to be about counting people and adjusting the house of representatives as needed. Then again, we seem to be trying to catch up to California in becoming just another part of Mexico. /rant
The ads that intended to be humurous were not. I chuckled a bit at the little boy threatening his mom’s date. Unless you enjoy watching back to back commercials of men in underwear, the ads generally sucked. So did the Who.
Being a diesel fan I enjoyed the Audi comercial. Displaying the eco-freaks as the Gestapo was a bonus.
What? The Superbowl was on?
Liked at the end where the eco-cop nails another cop for drinking out of a styrofoam cup..
Me too but for a different reason. It was a perfect caricature of our future "green" world. Here is the link for anyone who missed it:
how were freepers offended by it, i thought it a perfect skewering of the eco-nazis!
My fear is that people looked at the Green Police as a good thing in that ad. It was held in the wrong light - It scared me, quite frankly.
“Buy our car now and be prepared for the green holocaust!”

I think many Americans (including some Freepers) suffer from SPDD (Satire Perception Deficit Disorder).
Rather obvious satire and sarcasm quite often gets taken literally.

yes, we see that a fair amount on FR.
TDI = Awesome

My thoughts too. Green Nazi World was too lightly done. At least the famous “1984” Superbowl ad implied that Big Brother was a bad thing.
It would have been better if the guy happily slid through the roadblocks in his Audi, then got home and started taking AK47s out of his trunk to arm the resistance.
Because of the overall message, which was basically "get used to this kind of crap and buy an Audi so you won't be targeted." Capitulation. Surrender. If you can't fight 'em, join 'em.
I was initially angry when I saw this. Looking to the net, I found that lefties on various forums loved it. They think it makes fun of people on the right and where they believe all this green crap is heading, all the while ending with a wonderful green message. It was pretty much a characterization of a leftist's wet dream.
