Drew Brees tore up the record books for completions in a Super Bowl going 32 for 39 while racking up 288 yards, two touchdowns, an MVP award and the Lombardi Trophy for his long-suffering Saints. In Super Bowl 44, the 43 year drought for Saints fans came to an end in grand Mardi Gras style.

Maybe we won’t have to hear about Manning being the best Quarterback ever anymore. He’s 1-1 in the Superbowl and 9-9 in playoff games. Hardly stats of the “BEST QUARTERBACK EVER”
Brees tied Brady’s record for completions. Bettered him on PCT.
Favre, no matter how p*ssed I still am at him, breaks/holds ALL the records.
Best. Quarterback. Ever.
Maybe now that Brees has some fame and money...he can get rid of that chrome dome mullet hair do.
And yet #4 sat at home, watching
Ever since they let him go, I wondered if San Diego knew what they were doing to go with Rivers. Brees, after his injury, was better than most starting QBs at the time.
Not. This. Year. He. Isn’t. No. Ma’am.
Drew Brees is The King of New Orleans.
He can wear whatever hairstyle he choses.
He could wear a great mullet that flowed down his back as a regal cape with two Colts holding it above the ground for him if he so chose.
Drew Brees is The King of New Orleans.
Diana in Wisconsin, check out post 42 on the thread below. Classic Favre.

With all due respect to Brett Favre, and much, much respect is due, I believe that this is the man amongst other men that should be celebrated today.
This is a good man.
This video brought tears to my eyes both yesterday and today.
God Bless you and your son, Drew.

Thanks. Great video of little Baylen. Kid is cute.
Like the interview he did right at the end of the game. First words out of Drews mouth was “God is Great”.
Good for Drew and I’m sure that aggravated a lot over at CBS.
Yeah, that was Brees’ win. Did anyone else think the Saints looked very one dimensional? What play should we run? ... Um, how about a pass?...pass...pass...pass. Yawn, zzz. I literally fell asleep during the game.
Yep, Vic, Drew is a very decent man, a rare and true role model. There was much to be learned at yesterday’s game. There was genuine humanity on display. I hope the folks at CBS and in certain other quarters gained some insight.
Yeah, that on sides kick to start the second half was milk toast. I think I almost fell asleep right then too, but I figured someone would moon walk the ball into the end zone or something. /SARCASM.
Wishful thinking.
Saints have a better shot at winning 5 more SB's in a row before CBS or any of the other MSM have an ounce of insight or integrity.
Have you watched Rivers? He is a stud. I have followed the Chargers since 1970. No Charger QB has ever been as good as Rivers in their first 4 years. I love Brees, but Rivers hasn't even peaked yet.
LOL! That’s my boy! :)
Big’ol_freeper deserves all the credit.
Records don’t win games!
