I don’t know about worse but, it wouldn’t of been better by any means.

They’re both progressives and they are the enemy to this country, our Constitution and our way of life.

In Tancredo’s view, the Tea Party movement would never have been sparked under a McCain administration because Republican Party leaders and activists would have been muffled from criticizing their president

Republican Party leaders didn't create the Tea Party movement.

There was tacit support for McCain, but everyone knows that he would not have tried to advance as Leftist an agenda as Barry has in 1 year.

And the President is the president of the whole US, not just "the Republicans". Obama is the president of the whole country.

Republicans were critical of McCain in the campaign and still are (and do not find common ground with his daughter who claims to be a Republican).

Tom Tancredo is right on. He needs to go Arizona and campaign against McCain.

Tom Tancredo to Tea Partiers: ‘Thank God John McCain Lost’

Ummmm..., get on the "clue train" here... it's not because of McCain that we have the Tea Party -- it's because of Obama...

And we've got "Obama" because McCain and Palin lost....

That's the "clue" to what happened and why we've got the Tea Party... LOL...

Here's the one we should have in office right now...

Every generation seems to need a prominent reminder that liberalism is a bad idea. Obama is the poster child — he may very well make the biggest contribution to the conservative movement since Jimmy Carter.

Quite frankly, I think that’s complete idiocy. McCain would have been a far better president than Obama. Yes, some good things will come of the Obama presidency, but he will do, has already done, enormous damage to our country, which he planned to do all along. Tancredo has lost all respect I’ve ever had for him.

Would have been worse eh?

We wouldn’t have gotten:

Souter -> Sotomeyor

And we might have looked forward to:

Ginsberg -> ?

Stevens -> ?

Right now, I don’t.

From the standpoint of how little a battle cry would have arisen from conservatives had McLame been elected in comparison to the battle cry (Tea Parties) that have risen up from Obozo’s obvious marxist/socialist agenda, I’d have to say I agree with Tancredo. I only hope the damage that Obozo’s already done, and the damage yet to be inflicted can be reversed.

Agreed. Obama has been a blessing in disguise for the conservative movement.

I’m of mixed sentiment on this point. If Obamao were any less a Marxist ideologue and loser than he is, he would be a survivable example of why liberalism is national lunacy, and why we need to return to the Constitution. Even though Obamao has revised the Republican Party as opposed to the ruination McCain would have brought it, he is well on his way to destroying the nation. While Obamao whines about the mess he inherited from Bush, he is creating an unimaginable nightmare to pass on to the next person to step into the White House. It’s hard to imagine anyone doing as much damage as quickly as Obamao is doing it. Then again, this might be better than what we would have had with four years of McCain wrecking the Republican Party, only to give it over to Obamao with nothing but a disorganized, disillusioned opposition to stand against him. Maybe this is better, but it horribly bad.

“Tom Tancredo declared Thursday in opening remarks at the convention in Nashville, Tenn.”

While I agree with him in some ways, I wonder how he got around the ethics charge to speak there. Did it for free?
