In Tancredos view, the Tea Party movement would never have been sparked under a McCain administration because Republican Party leaders and activists would have been muffled from criticizing their president Republican Party leaders didn't create the Tea Party movement.
There was tacit support for McCain, but everyone knows that he would not have tried to advance as Leftist an agenda as Barry has in 1 year.
And the President is the president of the whole US, not just "the Republicans". Obama is the president of the whole country.
Republicans were critical of McCain in the campaign and still are (and do not find common ground with his daughter who claims to be a Republican).

Republican Party leaders didn't create the Tea Party movement.Right. They didn't. But they're trying to hijack it and turn it into a party fundraising cash cow.

Yes, it's true... but it's also true that "a little bit less leftist than the other guy" is the same pile-of-crap agenda that the Republican party's been pushing for years, and it's just not going to cut it any longer.
