And if impeachment proceedings proceed, what are the odds that Obama and his cohorts are actually booted out of the WH?

Are you kidding?

Biden would be the perfect president.

He couldn't follow directions or a script to save his ass, and the stand up would make great popcorn time.

We'd laugh all the way to the Conservative reclamation in 2012!

"Calm down. It takes 67 Senators to convict. And nobody wants to see President Biden."

Who was that guy in the Airplane movies? The one with the "...and don't call me Shirley" line? That's what a Biden presidency would be like. Except it sure wouldn't be funny.

I'd vote for the whole lot of them to be put on trial for treason and executed.

If the GOP wins a majority in both houses, they need a prioritized list of measures to unravel the crap we saw last year. They better look at what happened last time they had majorities, and realize who put them there. If not, the Dems will be back up in 1012 along with Zero. Their job is to right the ship, not get distracted with impeachment and self preservation spending, which no longer will work.

If by some miracle of an awakened electorate the Pubbies take control of the House and Senate in 2011, it would be better to have the liar-in-chief dangling before the American people exposed as he will be rather than impeach and remove his fraudulent affirmative action hide. Congress writes the legislation and controls the purse. But do the Pubbies have the cajones to follow through? With Pansy Graham types infecting the party, I really wonder!

Gosh, some of you sound like my DH, "Calm down"--I just *asked* the question because I didn't know the answer.

So apparently, the consensus is, better HolyO the Lamest of All Lame Duck presidents until 2012, hoist by his own petard, than any legal proceedings, etc. based on all the foolishness he's done ~so far~ (which will get worse, I'm afraid before it gets better)...sounds fine to me, I just want the lunacy to STOP!

You know what my 9 y/o daughter said to me yesterday, and not in a sarcastic way? She was talking about going to college and getting her own home, etc. someday...and she prefaced her dreams with "Someday when I pay off all of Obama's taxes, I want..." She's already figuring that into her future!!! :-O

My jaw hit the floor. THIS is Obama's legacy. FEH. >:-(

Who knows, maybe if Republicans take back the House and Senate, they will demand Obamas REAL Birth Certificate. ( And then I awoke).

Oh I can think of someone who would like to see a Pres Biden. Goes by the name of Hillary....yes..of course...and I would bet she has some good ol dirt on the Dear Leader and would like to spring it say sometime this year say in the fall and cause just such an event. Then resign her position as SS and challenge Biden for the Dem nomination and she would get it, Biden being the buffoon he is..

Impeachment is meant to remove a president who has committed treason, taken bribes, or committed other crimes. It isn't meant to punish presidents when the other party takes over Congress. Conservatives need to concentrate on retaking Congress this fall and turning Obama out of office in 2012, and leave the criminal prosecutions over policy disagreements to the tinpot dictatorships of the world.

What would be the point . . . and the charge??

As another poster noted, would we really want to see President Biden? He’s dumber than Obambi. Worse, if we take down Biden, we could end up with President Pelousy.

Its better to make him the lamest of lame ducks in his first and only term, than make the situation worse with any of his likely successors.

Can only hope but in reality it won’t happen. Best is that Ombammies agenda can be stalled and expose the current Democrap party for what it has become.

Refreshing to hear a sane perspective on this topic. The impeachment talk is crazy (and completely undemocratic). You can’t just impeach someone because you don’t like him.

Biden is an American. Someone in his family somewhere probably wore the uniform (not the pinstripes or orange one). Obama is not an American. His job is destroy the USA.

Our debt rating is AAA and Moddys is saying it may be downgraded. If that happens it ins NOT good at all. Biden or Hillary would not have done that.

There would certainly be plenty of opportunities to expose the Obama administration to some real sunlight. How far his rabbit hole goes, one can only imagine since he is from Chicago and I doubt he abandoned his roots when he stepped in the White House.

I think any actual dealing with Obama must be lead by Democrats or it could very well backfire. It’s sad because even in weakness he still has enough power to make our economic situation far worse. I don’t think we can afford any more pounding on the economic front and I think the Dims are realizing that they already defeated themselves so they might not bother to place enough disatance between him and themselves to give impeachment strong enough legs that it would be widely supported. But, of course it all depends on the substance of the scandal.

Do not count unhatched chickens.

That said, a really successful 2010-11, combined with a truly ugly mood in the electorate (formerly known as the Sheeple), could cause the President to be in violation of the law (majority of the House and two thirds of the Senate needed).

It almost worked on Andy Johnson (failed by one vote, alas).

Pubs can’t possibly do this; the only possibility of this is if the dims decide he should go.

They’ll only do this if things turn really bad for them.
Things are going bad, but not that bad yet.

If things do get that bad the survival instinct will kick in. After a few private conferences some of their people will tell his people they’ve discovered some paper that puts a whole lot of stuff in question. The idea won’t be well received, but after a few details leaked, the recipient of this friendly advice will turn amenable. Following this, a more or less official meeting obscure senators and congressman with the president.

They’ll allege some Republican agitation, some dire threat and cite their continued questioning of bam’s eligibility for office as proof of their nefarious scheming. They might imply blackmail.

He’ll acknowledge the controversy and the imperative to keep the country united, but will also claim health, and a desire to work for a broader understanding between the nations as the reason for his resignation.

The announcement will elicit exclamations of shock in press, dirge music on NPR, and a tingle down Chris Mathews leg.Endless, mindless chatter and speculation will drone on for weeks. Hearing it will make you wonder if a Republican had gotten elected to the senate somewhere. No worry, nothing that drastic, just dims drying out for a spell.

The actual departure will be collegial and respectful, if somber. Expect ceremonies and proclamations of affection for his service as he’s ushered out to bigger and brighter things. They’ll speak of improved race relations, foreign affairs relations, ‘justice’, etc, his legacy to the country. Tears will fall. With heavy heart, but stoic dignity he’ll depart through the throngs of his subjects. Then off to Hawaii for a spell, and then to New York for his UN appointment.

Then comes Hillary.

“What grounds do you see for impeachment? I don’t agree with his policies, but I don’t see that he has done something that is impeachable.”

Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution reads: “The President, Vice President and all civil officers of the United States, shall be removed from office on impeachment for, and conviction of, treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Obama’s most egregious Treasonous Acts:
(High Crimes/Misdemeanors)

Treason: Interferring with a Presidential Election

Obama conspired with the bankster cabal (Soros, Buffet, Geithner at NY Fed Reserve, Goldman Sachs financial officers, AIG financial officers) to pull a financial coup by crashing the U.S. financial markets at 2 p.m. on Sept. 18, 2008 in order to throw the likely voter polling data his way in the weeks to follow. This occurred just when Sen. John McCain was polling ahead of Obama significantly enough to be outside the margin of error.

Treason: Interferring with a Presidential Election

Encouraged, supported, fostered, and financed payoffs to ensure widespread voter fraud to Secretaries of State and ACORN campaign workers during early voting including transporting voters across state lines who then voted in multiple locations within states and across states. He also lied about the extent of his involvement with ACORN when he lived in Chicago, IL and worked as a community organizer and later as a state senator.

Treason: Falsely claiming American Citizenship

Obama was born to an American citizen and a citizen of Kenya. his birth occurred at a hospital in Kenya where his birth was recorded. His paternal grandmother admitted twice on audiotape that she was present for Obama’s birth (I have heard this tape) and she has never traveled to the United States. Obama’s mother at the time of his birth was not of legal age (18). Therefore, her citizenship could not automatically pass to Obama. That is why until Obama was 6 he was of Kenyan citizenship, that automatically was his according to his father’s country of Kenya and was his until he denounced it. Obama’s father was already married to a local Kenyan woman with two children, Obama’s half-brothers, when Obama’s father married his mother. So, in the eyes of the law, Obama’s parents were not married. Obama switched his citizenship at the age of 6 from Kenyan to Indonesian when he was legally adopted by his Indonesian step-father, Lolo Soetoro, and he went to live in Jakarta, Indonesia where he was registered as a muslim in the local muslim mandrassa school.

Treason Falsely Claiming Authentic Amer. Birth Certificate

Obama claims to have a bonifide Hawaiian birth certificate
but he has only complied with disclosing a Certificate for Live Birth. This is the form that his mother applied for a week or two after his birth when she was again able to travel back to Hawaii frpm Kenya. That’s when she placed the belated birth announcement in the Honolulu newspaper too. If Obama actually has a bonifide original birth certificate, he has not shown it to anyone in the Congress as is required. He has only shown the Certificate of Live Birth.

Should I go on?
