Old photos.

As I remember, the story behind those photos went something like this:

The game warden, or park ranger, or whatever the appropriate authority agency is, decided the bear was a menace and tranquilized it to relocate it away from humans. (or maybe it was simply shot and the carcass was removed and disposed of)

Then a new bear moved into the vacated territory. The new bear didn’t like dogs and every single one of these dogs in these photos was killed by the new bear.

This is from memory. I believe the story was in a national geographic issue a few years ago. Maybe as much as ten years ago.

Ok, then how on God’s green earth did the quote, quote, appropriate authority agency, get the tranquilized bear to play with the dogs?

That sounds more contrived then what the photographer is saying
