Sarah Palin's Natural Gas Pipeline
TheCypressTimes.com ^ | 01/31/2010 | Gary P

Sarah Palin, like all politicians, made many campaign promises when she ran for Governor in Alaska. Unlike many politicians, Sarah made good on all of hers. And while that is remarkable unto itself, no campaign promise made was more important to the Alaskan people than building a natural gas pipeline from the North Slope to the lower 48.

Did Harry Potter lend the pipeline his “cloak of invisibility”?

Queen Sarah can do no wrong in the eyes of those who define right and wrong by what Sarah does and doesn’t do.

Queen Sarah can do no right in the eyes of those who are biased hacks, Obamabots, Romneybots, Hucksters or MSM rejects.

....as said before, your curb playground awaits.

I’m none of the above.
Perhaps my detatchment from any and all (potential) candidates is what allows me to see Palin in a clear light.

You Palinites have way too much personally invested in her.
It must be tearing you up inside to see how she’s a fraud afterall, as she does favors for her Washington pals, charges $100,000 just to speak to grassroots activists in the trenches, and has hundreds of thousands of dollars go unaccounted for from her PAC.

So, you don’t know if she is running or not, but have decided to troll all the Palin threads and trash her at every turn. Do you do the same on threads about Romney, Huckabee, Gingrich, Pawlenty, etc.? There is plenty of material to blast each and every one of them about.

I admit, I support Palin, I don’t care for McCain, he should be defeated or retire, which would be better. But, I don’t go on threads about the other potential candidates and tear them down. I find it interesting that so many seem to spend an inordinate amount of their time trashing her. I guess you could say that Palin Derangement Syndrome reaches across the aisle.

I hold Huckabee in about the same regard as Palin.
And I’ve had plenty of things critical to say about Romney in the past.

But no, I’m not going to bash all potential candidates equally, because I do not view all of them as equally substandard.

Also, none of the others have an 0bama-like zombie cult following on the right.
So why do they need to be taken to task?

Sorry, I had to leave for church. I believe Sarah owes something to McCain. He lifted her up to the National stage. The Republican party has too many disloyal people who are only too willing to act in their own selfish interests when they get the chance. Leave the stabbing in the back to the Democrats. (Remember Al Gore refusing to support his former running mate Lieberman in the 2004 primary?)

Doing what is right for America is not acting in one’s own selfish interests.
Scratching a Washington pol’s back after he scratched yours is.

I (and possibly Sarah) think it is in this country's best interests to have Sarah as president. I don't think she ran for governor for her own selfish vanity. That said, she needs to protect her 'image' so she can run.

Supporting McCain or not is a no win situation. She will be critized for being disloyal or critized for supporting someone 'not right wing enough'. The media would make a much bigger deal out of her not supporting McCain, calling her disloyal.

As it is now, only hard core FReepers such as yourself care that she is paying him back, so the media is ignoring it -- image saved. As Sarah Palin herself says, "You have to pick your battles."

Gosh, I love Sarah.

Gosh, I love Sarah.
That much is obvious. It has compromised your judgement.

You actually believe that being disloyal to your country by shilling for a RINO who wants to destroy it is no worse than being disloyal to said senile old RINO?

Think about it.
McCain is no good for the country.
Either Palin knows that, or she doesn't.
Either way, this does not reflect well on her judgement.

If anyone is obsessed witjh Palin, it’s you. You and Bob J troll every thread about Palin in order to throw in your characteristically obtuse comments. You really need to emerge from your mom’s basement and do something productive.

How do any of your juvenile insults excuse Palin’s betrayal of the principles we were lead to believe she holds?

Do tell us?

Because if you think McCain is going to make me not support Gov. Palin then why did I support Gov. Palin when she was on the ticket with McCain??????

I was for No Earmarks McCain before he picked Palin. He wasn't perfect, (no politician ever is), but he was against Bush's prescription drug benefit, (before he was arm twisted into it), he is in favor of a strong defense, he was always concerned about the deficit and against earmarks. I know a lot on FR are against him and are very vocal about it, but he loved this country with all of his heart.

If you want to protest something, how about the fact that most people NEVER get to pick the president. I would have voted for McCain in 2000, but, by the time my state got to vote in the primary, long after the New England liberals had their say, George Bush was the nominee.

Time will tell. So far she's doing what seems most right to most 'unprogrammed' people. That's undeniable.

Your point on the McCain connection is both moot and petty, as are the other bashing points made by her opposition. Their critizisms have no MEAT, or SUBSTANCE.

Imagine a 'beam' scale. Put what you think Sarah has done that is 'wrong' in one pan, and what is right in the other and tell me which side is heavier.
