Is Sarah Palin a McCain-Republican?
January 29, 2010 | David Farrar

Charlie Crist has taking to calling himself a McCain-Republican in his Florida race against Marco Rubio of late. Apparently, he sees a similarity between himself and Scott Brown. I'll have to admit, calling ones self a McCain-Republican sounds better than simply calling yourself a RINO.

This, sir, goes far, far above simple political loyalty. As I said, she could have been perfectly loyal, in your terms, to McCain by agreeing to support him in his “General”, as she did as his VP candidate — that,I can readily understand.

But to actively campaign in the primary to try and hoodwink as many of our fellow Tea Party supporters into voting for McCain is quite different and politically dishonest, if, as I say, you were truly a new, grassroot, Tea Party anti-incumbent conservative.

So the question remains: Is Sarah Palin a McCain-Republican?

Okay, I give up. Which part of these Palin speeches could not have been made by McCain?

It’s one thing to disagree on a candidate, and quite another to jettison an ally over ONE disagreement. Being too hasty could leave you ALONE — and that’s a strategy that assures defeat — it accomplishes nothing.

Ideology and principles are my first priority — but perfect conformity of my friends, in addition to being impossible, is an unreachable goal that will do more damage to our nation and our philosophy than anything our adversaries can d

Agreeing with socialists on abortion, amnesty for illegal aliens, global warming, socialist bailouts and ANWR is hardly a minor disagreement and is far from perfect conformity. These are fundamental issues that not strongly opposed and marginalized will leave the country with nothing.

Such rationalization is what has led the OP(formerly the GOP) down the path towards socialism. Anyone who supports any of these issues or endorses one who does is no ally of mine.

>> The question is, does Sarah Palin consider herself to be a McCain-Republican?

No, as far as consideration is concerned, Palin's publicly stated that she's a Reagan Conservative.

The question should be: Why does Palin feel the need to continue sacrificing herself for McCain when she and her family have already given so much.

Oh, good! The false dichotomy. McCain makes speeches on both sides of issues. Show us a Palin speech where she dissembles and lends support to liberal philosophies.

Where and when has Palin ever agreed with those positions?

You still didn’t answer who you support for president 2012.

Don’t tell me, you can’t because you can’t defend your candidate.

You're ignoring one simple fact. No on has declared his or her candidacy since it's more than two years away!

You are the typical Neo Leftist out to bash Sarah Palin.

You're employing the Saul Alinsky rules for radicals by isolating a target then attacking anyone who isn't worshiping Palin and yet they are somehow left wingers? LOL!!!

>> For the record: Sarah Palin was trashed and undercut by McCain’s staff for being a conservative Republican.

Indeed, and McCain should have fired that miserable staff in defense of his decision - his pick for VP of the US.

Look, these are just speeches, mere words. It’s what people actually do that defines their political positions.

Usually those who would cannibalize Palin on this site are Romnoids.

I do agree that this direction will not server her well in the long run. If she owes an obligation she needs to keep it to the minimum repayment and get the hell out.

She endorses McAmnesty who supports those socialist positions. Are you claiming she is opposed to all those issues but supports him?

You still haven’t mentioned the person you support.

The PaulBots, MittWitts, Huckesters, etc only prove
Sarah Palin is the only Conservative Republican who
has the best chance to take out Obama in 2012.

Your support for Obama in 2012 which is your bottom line with your childish threads tell all they need to know about

When she agreed to stump for him in his Arizona primary. She is attempting to tell good, honest, hard-working, people McCain can be trusted with their votes because HE does believe in all that evils.

Now tell me, fine sir: How does one actully do that with a straight face?

You were the one who sited a comparison of speeches as a criterion. Now you want to say it's not a valid point? lol

Avoiding the question is not an answer to the question. Your premise was that she "agreed" with those positions. Now it is up to you to provide a substantive example.
