“Progressivism” -> The act of elected liberal politicians progressively taking more and more money from the citizens that pay taxes and giving that money to those that don't.

I’m not afraid of “progressives”. I simply execute them on sight.

Definition of Progressive

Progressive: Increasing in scope or severity. Advancing. Going forward. In medicine, a disease that is progressive is going from bad to worse

************************************************************************************

That’s the thing with progressivism - it’s one direction leads directly to the grave - no passing Go, so to speak.

Some of the first changes the early progressives made were; the direct elections of Senators, the open primary, the initiative and referendum. To drive the desired societal change through the government there was a need for more revenue which resulted in the 16th Amendment and individual progressive income tax.

There was a progressive movement several decades before the 1890s and these reformers were responsible for socialist, taxpayer paid for, government schooling.

All of the above was within one to two generations of children attending socialist modeled government schooling.

Please think about this.

The moment a child steps foot in a government school he learns that the government has **POWER**! The government has the police threat power to take money from his neighbor to pay for a service his parents want for tuition-free. He does this day after day. And....His teachers reinforce the idea that it is his **right** to expect free services paid for by his neighbor.

Do this day after day, year after year, and the result is a child who literally **KNOWS** that the voting mob can also has the power to take money from his neighbor to pay, not only for schooling, but thousands of other socialist programs as well.

Within three generations of socialist government schooling we also had FDR's New Deal ( elected FOUR TIMES!), Johnson's Great Society, the abolishment of the gold standard, the U.N, the Department of Education, and a few thousand other socialist programs and offices.

Government schools are an abomination. Yet I am amazed at how many conservatives fail to understand that government schools can not be reformed. They must be abolished.
