It's 1945, and the Allies are on the verge of winning World War II, when suddenly the Nazis unleash an arsenal of super weapons straight out of science fiction turning the tides in their favor.
There was a Jonny Quest episode with a giant mechanical spider. “The Robot Spy.”
ORIGINAL Jonny Quest, that is. The 1964-65 season.

Along similar lines...American giant robot versus Nazi giant robot.

The film was great! Would love to see more of it.
If we can’t defund the NEA... Why is it that the NEA funds people to smear poo on stuff, when folks like this guy could use the $ to produce a full-length feature instead?
A good story line for “Weird War” Comic books.
So is the characters Sgt Rock and Able company?
I think I recall a reference to Able company.
Pardon, last video I posted was just a clip of the complete, two-part, thirteen-minute video. My mistake.

Wasn’t there a giant mechanical steam spider in the remake of “The Wild Wild West” with Will Smith?

Quick! Someone call Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot!

Not that I know of (it's actually Easy company, BTW)
It would be kind of appropriate, though. The Blackhawks (also published by DC Comics) fought Nazi super-science weapons such as the War Wheel from time to time:
What was really cool was the animated Justice League episode in which they went back to World War 2, a had to fight a bunch of War Wheels:
Of course, the team did consist of Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, The Flash, The Martian Manhunter, Hawkgirl, and Superman. So yeah...they won.
Yup.
My mistake— Easy Company. Who was Able Co? I think it was a comic book also. but might have been a movie. Not sure now.
I have a few “Blackhawks” in my comic collection. Definitely had some high tech Nazi fighting machines.
Easy mistake to make! Sgt Fury (Marvel Comics) was in Able Company.
Klaus Kent: Ya! He's right! I will use my powers for the fatherland. For I am.. [ strips off his Earth clothes to reveal his supercostume ] ..Uberman!
[ "Superman Theme" plays, as Uber-Man crashes through the janitor's closet ]
Hitler: Wha..?
Uberman: Excuse me, Mein Fuhrer! Stand back! There's a bomb in this briefcase! [ thorws bomb to the floor, then dives on top of it. The bomb explodes, smoke rises, and Uberman stands up unharmed. ]
Hitler: You smothered the bomb with your body, and you're not even bleeding! Who are you?
Uberman: I am.. Uberman! I have superhuman powers, and I fight for untruth, injustice, and the Nazi way! And I have X-ray vision!
Lois Laneoff: X-ray vision? Can you see through my clothes?
Uberman: Ya! And through his, too. [ points at Jimmy Olstein ] He's a Jew!
Jimmy Olstein: No! No, it's not true! My parents were just very advanced in hygeine, that's all..!
Hitler: Silence! Guard, take this Jew away!
Uberman: No need! I'll drop him off at the camp on my vay to the Eastern front!
[ Uberman grabs Jimmy Olstein and flies out the window ]
Hitler: What an amazing stroke of luck. We might win this whole war!
[ cut to footage of troops marching - newspaper headline reads: "Uberman Takes Stalingrad in 5 Minutes"; second headline reads: "Uberman Rounds Up 2 Million Jews"; third headline reads: "Uberman Kills Every Person in England, U.S. Next" ]
I knew I was right somewhere. I was about to get out some boxes of comics and start looking. Thanks!
DC Comics published "Red Son" in 2003. Superman's rocket ship lands on a Ukrainian collective farm rather than in Kansas, an implied reason being a small time difference (a handful of hours) from the original timeline, meaning Earth's rotation placed the Ukraine in the ship's path instead of Kansas. Instead of fighting for "...truth, justice, and the American Way", Superman is described in Soviet radio broadcasts "...as the Champion of the common worker who fights a never-ending battle for Stalin, socialism, and the international expansion of the Warsaw Pact."
Mark for later
