This article has 23 Fact Checks on Obama's talk...Here is one of them

Obama State of the Union Fact Check # 6 – Pretending to be a Budget Cutter – The Budget Freeze That Wasn’t! 1/27/2010 - The president formally announced his plan to supposedly freeze some spending for 3 years. He may call it a spending freeze but his plan does not freeze spending. He’s counting on you to think that when he says spending freeze it means spending will remain at the same level over the next few years. That’s not true. His idea of a spending freeze is that there won’t be increases in the budget for some areas OVER AND ABOVE THE INCREASES already approved and scheduled to take place for those areas! Members of the audience laughed when he said he wouldn’t be doing the freeze this year though! Gosh, he couldn’t do that… it’s an election year! If the freeze was needed so badly, why wait? To make sure you understand, the present budget already calls for a percentage amount increase in these departments in coming years. Those percentage increases can continue under the Obama “freeze.” So, while it might be a slowing of growth (something I would support), you simply cannot call it a Budget Freeze. Also, the President tonight announced he wants to spend $4 billion more on education (or $12 billion over three years) nearly negating his entire “savings” form his so-called “freeze.”

Friendly State Media pundits refuse to point out Obamah's repeated campaign promise "I do not support a spending freeze".

He said that as many times as he said he'd put legislative deliberations on C-Span.

mccain is as big a threat to Liberty as hussein is... they both want the same things... hussein sold his soul... mccain would sell us out. That is the only real political difference... both take us to commieville... one gets there quicker.

re: John McCain said during the campaign, ‘you don’t have to be afraid of Barack Obama’.

Thank you. I had completely forgotten his response to that lady who expressed concern about Obama’s Muslim roots.

I don't think we could have fielded a worse candidate than him if we had set out to do so.

Wonder if that little piece of info is on YouTube.

"Last week, the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that I believe will open the floodgates for special interests – including foreign corporations – to spend without limit in our elections."

Why Alito shook his head: Obama exaggerates impact of Supreme Court ruling on foreign companies Barely True

On Jan. 21, 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a landmark ruling striking down barriers to corporations spending money directly from their own treasuries to influence elections. The 5-4 decision in Citizens United vs. Federal Election Commission has drawn fire from President Barack Obama twice -- first in a weekly radio address and, now, during his State of the Union address.

The president told a joint session of Congress on Jan. 27, 2010, that "it's time to put strict limits on the contributions that lobbyists give to candidates for federal office. Last week the Supreme Court reversed a century of law that I believe will open the floodgates for special interests –- including foreign corporations –- to spend without limit in our elections. Well I don't think American elections should be bankrolled by America's most powerful interests, and worse, by foreign entities. They should be decided by the American people, and that's why I'm urging Democrats and Republicans to pass a bill that helps to right this wrong."
