Here is audio of Democrat Rep. James Clyburn telling liberal talk show host Bill Press that the "way forward" on Health Care Reform is to use the "Reconciliation Process" to pass a bill "as an Easter Basket." It also has audio of multiple other Democrats saying the same thing, that the use of the "Reconciliation Process" to pass a bill of some kind is a definite option. The "Reconciliation Process" has also been called the "Nuclear Option," and Democrats howled at even the suggestion of Republicans using that process to get Judicial Nominees approved during the Bush Administration. It was not used, but now Democrats seem to have no qualms at using it to push through ObamaCare. Such a process only requires 50 votes to pass a bill (plus VP Joe Biden), and bypasses the possibility of a filibuster by the GOP. . . . (AUDIO)

Hey Dems - effin go for it!
How many blue dogs will become road pizza if they do that? ha ha go for it idiots!
We can only pray they are this stupid!!!!
The "Budget Reconciliation" process has only been called the "Nuclear Option" by people who don't understand that those two terms mean two entirely different things.
I find it incredibly ironic that a party that is generally anti-religious says things like they’ll give us the Health Care Bill as a “Christmas Present” or as a “Easter Basket.” Sort of funny in a I-hate-these-jerks sort of way...
Are these members of Congress high on crack? Teddy Kennedy’s seat...repeat Teddy Kennedy’s seat in the Senate is now occupied by a Republican with even Barnie Franks’ district voting Republican. Do they think shoving Obamacare down the throats of the American people get them re-elected?
Clyburn is an IDIO with a safe seat and too stupid to understand what has happened. Not enough Congressional road pizzas out there for me, bring it in! T
And that includes any of them that should suddenly have "a change of heart" and decides to come out against ObamaCare.
None of them can be trusted to not go back on their word.
I know I may get flamed for my idea, but I think my time is better spent attacking the Dems and "encouraging" the Republicans to toe the conservative line and represent us instead of compromising with policies that the vast majority of Americans do not want.
(end of rant/flame away)
I was going to say how interesting we get a Christmas bomber and a nuclear Easter basket. I’m sensing a theme here.
Well, they tried to ruin Christmas with DeathCare. Now they’re trying to ruin Holy Pascha!
NO, NO, NO!!!! Give it up!!!!
Let it be so.
Governing against the will of the people in an arrogant way sounds like the perfect way for the DNC to commit suicide.
If this happens, I wouldn't be surptised if armed insurrection didn't erupt somewhere in the country...or something worse.
STUPID is as STUPID does !
Our would-be overlords in Washington had better think twice about circumventing the legislative process in order to force through legislation that would result in huge - and unwanted - control of a large segment of our economy.
Yeah I agree but we can multitask and give stinking RINOs like Juan McCain, Crist and other sthe boot.
The GOP may have been a bit more stealthy in MA to avoid turning off independents and Dems who voted for Scott.
NY-23 - FUBAR thanks to stinking Newt, Dede and NY-23 RINO goon local party hacks.
If we can beat McCain in the primaries (and we should try) I would be thrilled.
But if not, we’re better off spending all of our time and money winning back both Houses.
We’ll have more of a chance forcing McCain to change his position (he does it all the time!) than we would a Democrat.
For me, I will be donating my time and money fighting Specter and Casey here in Pennsylvania.
First, ever notice how its always a House member claiming Senate budget reconciliation can be used to ram Obamacare through, and never an actual Senator?
Heres why.
Budget reconciliation in the Senate is a rare, obscure technical procedure for minor budget adjustment bills to make technical spending corrections for previously adopted budget bills.
The way Senator Greg Judd (R-NH) explained Senate budget reconciliation recently is that it can be used only to pass pure spending or pure taxation budgetary bills and according to the Byrd Rule, each sentence of the bill can be challenged on a point of order as to whether it contains policy issues or not and therefore whether it should remain in the bill.
Second, The Big Win in Massachusetts was indeed a wakeup call for the Congressional Dims, whether Obama and his advisers have gotten it or not. Theres no stomach left among the Congressional Dims for Obamacare or Obama-anything else at this point. The Dims are running for the hills. Obama has now conclusively demonstrated he is poison 100% of the time at election time, supporting three Dims in a row who each lost with Obamas support. Dodd said take a break on Obamacare. Already Congressional Dims are talking on Fox about extending the Bush tax cuts as one way to keep from further wrecking the economy.
Multiple Dims, including New Yorks Bloomberg have harshly criticized Obama in the last two days regarding his ill-advised and unwarranted attacks on the banks. Billionaires Mort Zucker and Warren Buffet have lambasted Obama in the last two days. Everyone saw what opening his big yap attacking banks did to the stock market yesterday and today. Karl Rove said tonight that the Pubs may now be able to pick up 8 Senate seats and that 150 Dim seats are in play this November.
Obamas presidency is over for all practical purposes. His operatives can no longer instill the fear of God in Congressional Democrats by threatening to withhold resources, Party help, Obama appearances, etc. They did all of that in the bluest of blue states and got clobbered, so theyve lost their juice.
yes, i wondered what happened to the separation of church
and state.
