My thought exactly. Not exactly a flattering portrait, IMO.
If Palin runs in 2012, does anyone on here actually think McCain will campaign for her BEFORE the primary, like she is campaigning for him? The answer is Hell No.
“My concern is that McCain is using her to bring in the crowds...”
And this time the crowds may not show up in spite of Sarah.
Sarah is taking a big political gamble.
The record of JD Hayworth? JD never met a pork barrel he didn't vote for. And that is conservative how? I'm telling you the LEFT will try to tear this campaign apart which will give Sarah more exposure and really forget john its Sarah geeg let her be Sarah and watch how she will prevail~~~~just for the record I don't like john but look at the other GOP not much to choose from but Brown and Bachman~~~~
Calling McCain a liberal is part of the problem with the Tea Party movement and independents. Few people have as conservative of a record as the senior Senator from Arizona. It’s not a perfect record, but it’s as close as you are going to find.

McCain dumping his sick wife for his mistress Cindy and his insane stand on illegal aliens proves he no Conservative. As for the economy, he is on tape saying he does not know much about it.
Geeez. Like it or not, he’s been married to Cindy for almost 30 years now.
JD Hayworth’s campaing will be “issue” driven.
“the LEFT will try to tear this campaign apart which will give Sarah more exposure...”
LOL. Yeah, that’s what she needs at all costs - more exposure.
I live in AZ and I WILL be voting for JD Hayworth, regardless of who campaigns for McAmnesty.
“Sarah is taking a big political gamble”
Yeah, that’s my concern. However, if McCain loses his Senate seat, then she won’t be obligated to support him if he tries to run for President again.
Maybe she’s crazy like a Fox!
I agree but who is perfect?~~~
“Maybe shes crazy like a Fox!”
She’s smart, but maybe her supporters-without-question are wishing a bit too hard.
I guess only time will tell.
IT’s hard to persuade others that your opinion is correct, when you start out by calling them fools if they don’t already agree with you.
Maybe she won't run in 2012, 2016, 2020. Maybe she has no intentions of running at all. She was a governor once. She resigned because of a lot of ridiculous attacks (and perhaps other stuff). Maybe she no longer seeks a high position but a lower rank one where she can be most helpful.
Right now she's helping McCain. When he fails, she will learn why and then campaign for Senator Brown.
I think we need to relax and let her find her niche. We hoped she would run but maybe she's not comfortable with the thought.
For now, I'm placing Sarah on the back burner and keep an eye on how she's doing. I wish her the best.
Hotlines Reid Wilson has the script for a new radio spot McCain is running against former congressman (and current Arizona radio personality) J.D Hayworth, who has been making moves toward a primary challenge against McCain.
The ad says that Hayworth “sounds conservative on the radio, but J.D. was one of the biggest spenders in Congress. In 2005, they passed a bill with six thousand five hundred pork barrel earmarks worth more than twenty four billion dollars. J.D. voted for every one.”
Its true that then-Rep. Hayworth voted in 2005 for the Safe, Accountable, Flexible, Efficient Transportation Equity Act, which was reported to have included 6,371 earmarks, according to the Washington Post. And the leaders of six taxpayer and conservative groups wrote a letter to then-President Bush saying that the law included “nearly 6,500 member-requested projects worth more than $24 billion.”
McCain was one of only four senators, all Republicans, to vote against the allegedly pork-laden bill. But Hayworth “voted for every one” of the earmarks only in the sense that he supported the entire bill. So did all but eight House members, all Republicans. But the earmark items didnt come up for separate votes on the House floor. Rather, earmarks are inserted into the bill by individual members and senators. We explained more about earmarks in our Ask FactCheck, “What Is an Earmark?”
McCain strains the facts when he portrays himself as more of a fiscal conservative than Hayworth. In fact, both McCain and Hayworth have been recognized as “taxpayer heroes” by the anti-pork watchdog group Citizens Against Government Waste. The group assigned McCain a lifetime voting record of 88 percent, while Hayworths House career earned him a rating of 89 percent.......just for the record I concede~~~~

I appreciate your candor. I don’t know if you live in AZ and have actually heard McCain’s attack ads, but their tone is juvenile and condescending...as though Hayworth is an embarrassment that you’d scrape off the bottom of your shoe. Hayworth stepped up on the soapbox at a protest I attended at the state capitol during the Bush/Gore debacle. His talk seemed genuinely passionate and the words were inspiring. McCain has never appeared to be passionate about anything except “reaching across the aisle” and amnesty for illegals.
Purity...
...why are you politically involved?
Presumably because you strongly believe that certain things should be certain ways.
So, you are a “purist” in regards to those things.
Good point.
