Definitely a nightmare scenario.

Can’t rule it out, but not sure it would happen. I can’t see a defenseless woman walkin the streets and knocking on doors.

But that in a way brings up a good point. If the SHTF, do you first day head out on your front porch and start to charbeque all you steaks?

Or do you lay low, leave the generator SHUT OFF FOR THE FIRST WEEK OR SO, and try to just not draw attention?

I’m inclined to think the second.
Don’t advertise, don’t do anything to draw attention, keep the lights OFF!!!

That is a reminder that if you know how to can meat and make jerky, and you already have all of your canning supplies and have fuel, as I do, then you can turn your frozen meat and your neighbors soon to spoil meat (trade them, or help them for a percentage), into the freshest, best part of your food stores.
