Is she really a Republican? Hasn’t she been moving away to more of an independent status? I don’t really know because I don’t follow her that much.
Maybe she is a “Republican”..but she is not a “Republican “ that I will vote for at this point. Maybe that will change..I don’t see it on the horizon if she continues as she is right now.
Backing Steele when she didn’t have to say a word was a clincher for me - at least for now.
Mccain needs to go. Backing an incumbent..when it is a BAD incumbent..is not the way to go..at least to me.
What’s next? Snowe Collins and Graham?
We care about their opinions, why?
If McCain loses the primary, the media will run stories of a split between conservatives and Sarah. So this is lose-really lose option for Sarah here.
Anywho, her reply if McCain had asked her to campaign for him would be "...After the primary is held, I will stump for you John."
When campaigning (hopefully limited) she can choose to only talk about his positions that she herself endorses, and leave out the horse crap things like, hands across the aisle, amnesty, campaign finance reform.
Well we should see. If she starts taking shots at Hayworth then she jumped the salmon.
Well, that settles it! I’m going to vote for the Democrats. Obviously every single Republican is a RINO. Think about it folks, this RINO bullshit is becoming old as hell.(and stupid to boot)
So she's putting her own interests ahead of Arizonians and long-term conservatives' interests of seeing a younger, more conservative represent the Senate.
When amnesty for illegals comes up and McCain is among one of the chief sponsors, it'll be interesting to see what Sarah posts in her Facebook account.
People are responsible for their own votes, if McCain wins re-election it’s the fault of the voters not the campaigners.
Buddy, I'm one of the biggest Sarahbots here and I'm raising Hell over this.
Sarah said she would campaign on behalf of conservatives, regardless of party. John McCain is not a conservative. He is an aging abrasive turncoat Republican who has heaped praise on the likes of Obama and even considered being John Kerry's running mate.
Any loyalty that Sarah had to McCain should have ended on November 5th. She saved his candidacy from a crushing landslide ass-whooping defeat to a predictable, conventional loss to Obama, so if anything McCain should be thanking her.
It's worse than that...in 1976 Reagan promised to name Senator Richard Schweiker...the most liberal Republican in the Senate...to be his running mate if nominated as the GOPs's presidential candidate.
Hey rabs! I hope your parents' computer room is plenty warm today.
The same people who stood in line for hours getting their books signed by her will more than likely do what she says and hold their noses for McCain.
Yes, she's that influential. Her endorsement of McCain means that Hayworth doesn't have a prayer.
I know Sarah Palin has been called a lot of names but a RINO.
I would call her a Moose.
*** *** *** *** ***
Um, isnt that the problem?
Smart politicians get elected; idealogues don't. Sarah Palin must be pragmatic if she hopes to govern in the future or influence those who will.
I am sure that Sarah Palin finds herself in a position of feeling some loyalty and obligation to McCain and intends to honor those feelings.
I can’t believe that the people who are calling her a RINO on FR have read Going Rogue. And I’d urge anyone who thinks she IS a RINO to read it. Read the book.
Personally I think you’re an Obama plant on FR... Palin is not going to have any affect on McCain’s chances in the primary.....
Schweiker's ACU ratings in the 2 years leading up to Reagan picking him:
1975 -- 9
1976 -- 16
I still don't know what got into Reagan on this deal...LOL.
Wow. Now that Palin, is ‘free’ to do whatever she wants and is, as some here have suggested, no longer under the McCain thumb, has she ever stated why she isn’t supporting J.D. instead? Does she more closely align herself with McCain?
What about NY-23?
I was quite surprised to see that Sarah once again holds elective office. That’s the ONLY WAY you can be a RINO ~ you must be elected first and be holding office.
Anyone see what she ran for? I missed it fur shur.
JD Hayworth was not in the race at the time Palin said she would campaign for McCain.
To quote Ayn Rand: There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: the fashionable non-conformist.
What about VA?
Wha about NJ?
