Hey, don’t blame THIS one on Romney. the poster is one of the biggest Romney-bashers as well.
Most of us who supported Romney are quite enjoying the respite. Plus, between Palin supporting McCain, and the whole Scott Brown love-fest, we’re enjoying the hypocrisy of those who used to attack US (not Romney, but the freepers who dared support him), defending things just as bad.
My personal opinion is that this is all my fault, because I think last week some time I might have said I supported her. :-)
He’s much worse than that. I think you missed my invisible /sarcasm sign.........
The people who wouldnt vote for McCain or Obama on principles were not the type to stay home. They would have voted third party or written in a name. They are the people who would have gone to the polls to vote for local candidates and ballot issues. There were less than 2 million third party votes in the entire country. I get tired of seeing people use empty arguments like this to make a personal attack.
I've already had FReepers tell me that they did not vote for McCain on the basis that he was not qualified per the Constitution, in the same manner that Obama is not qualified.
Now, the figures that were given are the votes for Obama, not the number of voters that showed up at the polls. And no matter whether these "crazies" here on Free Republic (who did not vote for McCain, and thus gave Obama the election) -- did go to the polls, they did not vote for the GOP Presidential candidate and that's bad enough in and of itself.
We got Obama as a result of that one...
Eight Wasted Years...Margaret Thatcher used to talk about the ratchet effect. When the Left gets power, she said, they drive everything Left; when the Right gets power, they slow the Leftward drive, perhaps even halt it for a spell; but nothing ever gets moved to the Right. U.S. politics in the 21st century so far bears out this dismal analysis. What does the Right have to show for eight years of a Republican presidency? I supported George W. Bush in 2000 because I thought he had a conservative bone in his body somewhere. I supported him in 2004 because I thought him the lesser of two evils. At this point, I wouldnt let the fool park his car in my driveway. Bruce Bartlett was right, every damn word...Bill Gertz interview on Hannity and Colmes Gertz: Well he casts himself as a compassionate conservative and I argue that he's neither. That his administration is neither. He's done tremendous damage to the conservative movement... |
Bush's legacy IS Obama.
Idiocy
Yes, that's a good answer, but if McCain asked her for an endorsement, then she could hardly have refused, given what he did for her. There are times when loyalty and gratitude are more important than ideological purity, and this was one of them. Purists can find fault with even the best politician, but Sarah Palin is no RINO.

Don't forget to include Jim Robinson in on those Romney-bashers... LOL...

Not at all, they were at it long ago -- along with the Romney-ites who were bashing Sarah Palin while she was on the GOP ticket, too... :-)
“I was raised to always pay my debts, whether that debt was money or something else and the character of the person you owe the debt too was not a factor in paying it.”
What kind of character does it take to legalized an invasion of your own people for personal gain?
Bush's legacy IS Obama.
Go ahead and give us the list of all the former Republican Presidents, too... while you're at it. I wouldn't want you to leave out any of them... LOL...
Well at least one thing is clear. If there’s going to be a third party divide in the GOP by 2012, Sarah will certainly end up on the establishment side of it. And the establishment is where the RINO problem is.
And the purpose for that would be what?
And the purpose for that would be what?
Just so you could be consistent... :-)
You posted a pic of Bush, I responded. Are you confused?

Ummm..., yes, and I hear the hoofbeats of an "H. Ross Perot" coming down the pike... :-0
[ Thanks Ross, for helping us lose... :-) ...]

It would be impossible to be as confused as some of these Sarah-bashers... :-)
This “repay” excuse doesn’t fly when applied to Steele and she backed Steele -who should be fired.
For me, she now has two black marks.
Sarah Palin is being a smart **politician**.
*** *** *** *** ***
Um, isn’t that the problem?
Sarah Palin is now a RINO. That’s a good one.
McCain didn’t lose because some conservatives didn’t like him and stayed home. The few hundred thousand people who actually know that McCain is a loon unfit for the senate, much less the presidency, didn’t swing anything. McCain lost because if your choice is between two pontificating hacks who don’t say much different pick the younger, more historic one. Obama beat McCain the same way he beat HRC. Sound the same - be prettier.
