Beck recently claimed that a state-wide recount in Florida in 2000, would have resulted in a Gore Victory.
I went back and looked at it again on DVR and you’re wrong. He said “I seem to recall that it was later shown that a state wide recount would have given it to Gore” or words to that effect.
He said what he said. I can only guess at his motivation, but the comment is on video.
You mean that if he didn’t do so much good, no one would watch him anymore?
Or as Yogi Berra is said to have remarked about a famous restaurant, “No one goes there anymore. It’s too crowded.”
I’ll post the actual quote when I get home and can look at my DVR. However, other posters in this thread saw the same thing.
I think he’s just trying to anger the lefties who are currently in a freefall.

LOL. Can’t say I blame you. That gets a lot of people (seriously).
I didn’t have a issue with it when I was LDS, but that is one of the first accusations most LDS make against those who leave (they couldn’t live up to the standards).
I still have a few LDS friends (most shunned me when I left), and who are still very nice to me.
I DVR Beck, and I have his most recent book. (Not the self-serving Christmas Sweater crap). I am not bashing Beck, but that doesn’t mean I am not going to say WTF, when he says something stupid.
My guess, is he lead the segment by saying that he had been for a state-wide recount, and then to demonstrate how brilliant he was, he commented (without thinking) that Gore would have won if only he had taken Beck’s advice.
Beck is very good at exposing the radical nature of the Obama regieme, but his 9/12 project, refounding project, both parties are the same etc., and some of his other comments are starting me to wonder if he isn’t more interested in promoting Beck than the conservative movement.
I think Glenn Beck will say/do whatever will get Glenn Beck the most attention.
I think you will find other links in this thread that show full statewide recounts were conducted by multiple lib organizations after the fact and everyone confirmed a Bush win.
Not true. There are standards. A slight dimple is not a "vote". there are defects in ballots, and multiple dimples as well, as was found in Palm Beach. To count, a vote must be legitimate. When all legitimate votes were counted, Bush won by hundreds of votes.
What Beck will never point out also is that if the Libertarian douchebag Browne had not been on the ballot, Bush would have won by many more thousands of votes. Libertarians serve absolutely no purpose other than helping elect Democats, with whom they disagree 90% of the time. Idiots.

I have it on DVR and played it back twice. When I get home tonight I will post the exact quote. If I just pulled it out of thin air, it is funny that a lot of other posters heard the same thing.

My point was that his statement that Gore would have won had already been proven false.

Is it possible he was insinuating that had they had a state wide recount the democrats would have been able to stuff the ballot boxes because there wouldn’t have been enough eyes to watch them and then stop them?
Weird to have so many Beck-haters here. Personally I’m looking forward to watching his show Friday and even set my DVR to record it so I don’t miss a second. Even with all of Glen’s theatrics I’ve learned a lot watching his show. It’s not as if the lame-stream media is reporting on Anita Dunn & SEIU & ACORN & ....
