Look for Kay Bailey Hutchison to expand her circle of support from the Bushies in her bid to unseat Gov. Rick Perry. Hutchison this week added endorsements from James Baker, who served as secretary of state under George HW Bush. Earlier, Bush 43 Vice President Dick Cheney came to Texas to publicly endorse Hutchison. And the Republican senator has plenty of support from one-time aides to George W. Bush - informal advisers Karl Rove and Karen Hughes as well as former education secretary Margaret Spellings.
Now, comes Poppy Bush. A source close to the campaign confirms that Bush 41 himself will soon publicly endorse Hutchison. That pretty much leaves Bush 43, who says he's remaining neutral in the race.
end snips......

The Bush family has strong business connections to Mexico. Regular OBL-palooza lining up on Hutchinson’s side.
She doesn’t think Perry should serve three terms.
Maybe Perry has his problems - I dont know - but what would inspire Hutchison, who is a little long in the tooth, to want to get into such a contested race when she could stroll to reelection in the Senate?
Not sure why anyone thinks they need to stay in elective office for most of their life. But between King Ricky and Queen Kay that’s what we have. She wanted to run for governor in 06 but the powers that be in the party [whomever they are] convinced her to hang back and let King Ricky have another term and then he’d not run again. Well he’s running and all I can say is I guess she wants to come back to Texas. If she wins maybe we’ll get rid of both of them, King Ricky first and Queen Kay after her four years as Gov.
That’s just sad — and pathetic. Strike one more blow for RINO’s...
what part of Texas you from?
LOL....... I think this is part of the problem, not from Texas.
I heard Debra Medina on the radio last night; she sounded real good.
She doesnt think Perry should serve three terms.
Well he’s trying for 14 years if he wins..... Texas needs term limits, imo.
What makes the Bush’s so tone-deaf?
Thanks, I needed a good laugh this evening.
I heard Debra Medina on the radio last night; she sounded real good.
She needs much more exposure for sure. She’ll be on the next debate and did well the first time I think. She’ll do fair with the Libertarian vote behind her but not enough to win. She may well force it to a runoff.
Better yet, vote for Medina and put the rinos in the zoo now.
Exactly. Where are the Bushies questioning all the dirt Obamster keeps slinging on them? Why no backbone for all the blame for what “the past 8 years has done to this country?” As a former supporter of W, I’m disappointed he won’t come out and defend himself AND that those in his circle are supporting one of the biggest RINO’s the state has ever seen.
I AM in Texas and I’ll take Perry over the RINO Hutch ANY day. The fact that she has all the elite, inside the beltway DCer’ backing her should settle this for most Texans. Medina may be a great conservative, but let’s face it - she’s an unknown. With the exposure she’s getting this go around, let’s see what she can do next term.
KBH is the worst thing that could happen to Texas, at this juncture. She won’t even do what’s best for Texas and stay in the Senate. Shame on Kay.
Go Rick Perry!
He isn’t ? Ok maybe I am ignorant on this but I saw some clips on youtube where he was criticizing Obama’s policies.. and he was saying all the right things.
Kay is a puppet for the Bush gang in Texas.
Perry doesn’t look so bad anymore;plus he’s allies with Palin.
Bush Inc. wants to keep control away from the newcomers in the party. Screw em. They’ve made a mess of America the last 20 years. IMHO
One loser endorsing another!
I tend to think of Perry as a fair-weather conservative. As long as the sailing is smooth, he’s conservative. When the wind picks up, he goes center FAST.
Kay is just an opportunist, putting on whatever spots at takes to get through that week.
Freepmail me or ping me from the original thread to get on/off the 2010 Texas Governor's Race ping list.
Gee, now I’m even less inclined to see her as a viable candidate.
I’ve decided that I don’t really care who wins Governor of Texas. Texas can decide who they want to have as their governor. I hope the democrat doesn’t win.
Perry doesnt look so bad anymore;
Every four years he grooms up his conservative credentials for display but they get all disarrayed shortly thereafter.
