All Men Are Created Equal-But Unions Are MORE Equal Than Others

In the United States we are supposed to believe that all men are created equal and have equal protection under the law. Truth is, since the Progressives took over congress and Barack Obama was elect President, unions are more equal and get greater protection the rest of us. That's why the UAW was able to get the largest share of the GM and Chrysler even though legally it should have been the primary investors.

Union members represent one of the biggest and most powerful Democratic constituencies and their support of any health care reform proposal is viewed as essential to getting a final bill passed in Congress. So far Big Labor is for Obamacare, the SEIU even sent bouncers to some of the town hall events to beat up on some of the anti-Obamacare protesters at the events. Of course when some of the burden of paying for state controlled health care is placed on the Unions, they begin to fight. That was the message they gave the president during their private meeting the other day.

To help pay for the plan the bill calls for a tax on those who have "Cadillac" Health insurance (high-end) plans. Union health plans are among the most high, of the high-end plans. So the Unions are fighting back by getting House Democrats to lobby against this provision in the final bill. The compromise they came up with is Unions will be exempt from the Cadillac Taxes:

Well, yeah " the SEIU even sent bouncers to some of the town hall events to beat up on some of the anti-Obamacare protesters " but they also sent bouncers to other town hall events to commit acts of cannibalism.

They want us to think they're tough ~ and crude. Alas, they're also convincing us that they gotta' be put down.

Why do our auto industries fail?
Why do our schools fail?
Why are we losing all manufacturing?
Look no further than unions. The belief that a HS dropout should get $80,000 a year for cleaning toilets because they work at Ford.

Congressman Mike Rogers on Laura Ingram: Non-union members will pay a 40% increase in premiums.

No they won't. Insurance companies pay the tax. They will pass the 40 percent on to the employer. Employers will drop the plan because it costs 40 percent more than its actual cost after the tax is paid. Employees will thus be forced to go with a government-approved plan with worse coverage.

Maybe part of this is to force normal folk to join a union in order to get good health benefits. You have an office of professionals used to getting good health care; maybe they need to join a union to get the same coverage that SEIU people get. The problem is, once a union is formed, the goons take over and they syphon funds from the workers. So that is not a solution, either. The only solution is to defeat this evil legislation.

Correct...it will force employers to drop them also, and Mr. Rogers did include that in his response about individuals who bought their own insurance.
