Qoute from PC World: "The Web browsing world is exciting again. Google's Chrome browser is faster than fast and there's serious thought that Internet Explorer may actually lose its top spot in the browser market-share wars. But for all the excitement, it would be a real mistake to overlook Firefox; with the forthcoming release of Firefox 3.6, which is now available as a release candidate, Mozilla's flagship browser is looking better than ever." Mozilla is the best browswer as far as I'm concerned and I have yet to get a virus using it.......as opposed to I.E.! Anybody else feel this way?

All Mozilla has to do now is fix all of the crashes that have been happening with the past 2-3 updates.

I still haven't gotten the flash plugin to work with FF. Maybe Adobe and Mozilla can get their act together with the new release.

Mozilla sucks. With every incremental release I’m told my best plug-in are no longer compatible! Then I have to wait weeks or months for an update.

"All Mozilla has to do now is fix all of the crashes that have been happening with the past 2-3 updates."From what I've seen, if Firefox is crashing or being unstable, chances are it's being caused by an addon(or combination of addons) that isn't playing nice. If you are having such issues, try disabling addons, perhaps one at a time, to see if there are any improvements.

I used to love Mozilla, but version after version kept crashing. Switched to Operan and I think it’s the best of what’s out there now, but it’s still not in the same league as Mozilla (when it was good).

I had problems with FF several versions ago, primarily its determination to block most of the sites I went to, including FR that seemed immune to all the controls. I switched to Sea Monkey for a while (also Mozilla) and wiped FF off the disc. I got it back after several more updates and it is back to old times- works very well.

Opera has by far the most compatibility issues of any major browser. Opera hates Flash and video plug-ins just don’t work well. I used to love it, but with so much plug-in content, FF was the way to go.

I’ve never been a fan of Google, but their Chrome browser is very good. I’ve been using it over Safari and Firefox because it has a small footprint and I’m usually running at least four applications.

Chrome is small and fast... but the deal breaker for me was NO DROP DOWN history. This is just a no brainer. In their support forum one of the developers said that it was because they didn’t want anything that wasn’t strictly needed.

It wasn't for me. If you click and hold the back arrow it gives a drop down of something like the last ten visited sites and at the bottom says "open history." When you click on that it gives a full page of recently visited sites. That's enough for me.
I did notice that when Apple first did Safari they emulated Chrome's "tabs on top" but dropped it cause their users didn't like it.
I also like that instead of a separate search tab you can search in the URL bar. It was also weird to me that Google will easily let you change the search engine to another one besides Google, but Safari won't.

Love Firefox. I.E. seems to have an intentional crash flaw and is so 1995

Starting about 3 releases ago, it now takes about five minutes from when I click on the FireFox logo until it is running. This happens on both my laptops, so not just a fluke. I consider this unacceptable. Until they fix that problem, I will use Chrome. It is a big frustration to me as I used to love FireFox.

With every incremental release Im told my best plug-in are no longer compatible! Then I have to wait weeks or months for an update. They might still be. A plugin has a max-version in its description in a text file that is within the installer archive. Firefox reads this and won't let the plugin work if Firefox is a later version than that. Uninstall, edit the max-version and reinstall, and it'll usually work.
