Those who are obsessed with Sarah Palin will have plenty of new opportunities to love/hate the former Alaska Governor as she has just signed on as a contributor to the Fox News Channel. FNC has confirmed that while Ms. Palin will not have her own regular show, she will appear on the network’s programming on a regular basis as part of a multi-year deal and will host an occasional series that will run on the network from time to time.

Hey, Newt Gingrich appears on Fox News all the time. I don’t see anyone out there saying its hurting him politically.

I hope she doesn't appear on “O reilly’s show, his show stinks its more like a evening episode of Oprah...he has a very condescending way of talking to the women panels he creates and what's with the dumb dumb culture quiz segment.
I only watch when Miller is on. O’reilly would throw Palin under the bus as often as he could.

Hope Palin will have enough sense to only appear on Greta or Beck.

Is there any chance Newt will be running for Pres?

At any rate, after reading some comments here, maybe it is a good move. As someone said - these are the days of MTV, short attention spans and whatever else they said. :) It was a good point - just us old fogies who think it’s not Presidential.

And a word about Huck, I never liked him but now that he has a show, I like him quite well....but I still wouldn’t vote for him for President. That hasn’t changed.

Quitting her job and writing a tell all book.

A statesman doesn’t do that.

Write a book about policy, history or political thought; not a book about yourself.

That is, if one is interested in being a political leader. IF one is interested in making money and being famous...she has made all the right moves.

You know, some people just can’t spell well.

Just like some people are rude and obnoxious - but that’s a choice, unlike some physical ailments that could make one not a very good speller. Not everyone wins the spelling bee.

Well, she may just want this job. She studied journalism or broadcasting, I can’t remember. I believe she wanted to be a sportscaster once.

I’m not personally thrilled about this because of the losers that went this way from politics, but I guess one will see how it plays out. Sad to think this could possibly throw her OUT of conservative political leadership...

First of all, no one has even confirmed that this is even true. Sarah or Meg haven’t said anything about it. If she were having her own TV show, that’s one thing, that would probably mean she doesn’t consider running right now, but being a political commentator on Fox News, I mean really, isn’t that exactly what she is doing on Facebook, politically commentating except its not on TV..this way she can reach an even larger audience, go head to head with those who do not share her views. She can slam Obama everyday, now who doesnt want to see that! she knows what she is doing, she has been doing the right thing her own life. She doesn’t need anyone telling her what to do. She will do what is best for her. If she were to listen to talking heads and everyone everyday giving her this opinion on what to do and that opinion, her head would have exploded a long time ago

Funny how Huckabee has had his own show for years and no one says he is no longer a Conservative leader. Hmmm, kinda makes you think doesnt it

I don’t agree. I think the book has done very well for her. If she didn’t do that, they’d still be making fun of her through Saturday Night Live and the MSM.

I think the book has helped tremendously and I hope being on tv will give her even more of an audience.

I suspect she prays about everything before she makes a move so it must be God’s will.

Congratulations Sarah!!!!!

A bully pulpit to a MUCH wider audience.

Liberal heads will explode daily.

Funny how every move she makes even has FReepers sniveling, but the benefits FAR outweigh any considerations.

More Sarah is better Sarah.

This will be perfect for Sarah, but I am just guessing their may be a clause in the contract that in order to stay on the air she must never mention anything about Obamas birth certificate.

Well, you are right there. Reagan gave radio commentaries and wrote newspaper columns instead of taking a political post in the Ford Administration....it DID work for Reagan...maybe it can for Palin.

Really, I do hope so!

I'm a young buck and I don't think it's entirely Presidential. That being said, our current punk-in-chief has really lower the proverbial bar.

I'm not against the idea entirely. I can see how it may help influence those who don't know her, but arguing on TV with some Democrat nobody yum yum on O'Reilly just doesn't feel right.

However, there are no details of this deal yet. And it's strictly because of this contract that I question whether or not she runs for POTUS. The terms of her contract may keep her from focusing on a campaign.

Well, I think this is a good move financially and personally for her. Not for a political career...but, for a career in media-—this is an excellent m

So you would of thought Ronald Reagan making broadcasts on behalf on the American Medical Association against Medicare in 1961 were a mistake because it make him look presidential and was not a good move for a political career?

She didn’t write “Going Rouge”...that was an insulting parody of her book: “Going Rogue”.

Will see how this works because I could see it going either way ...

The left always claimed she devolved into a talk show host...

But...Reagan did a a daily hard political radio commentary to stay in the public eye and that ramped in to his presidential run...

Palin twitter and Facebook posting have been more in this latter style and I think this Fox gig will be the same ....

The tea party conservatives are being shunted to the fox news channel as an outlet for their frustrations against the “system”. This will aid the RINO’s the real power in the Republican party in getting control of any conservative movement and thus utilizing them for republican victories. Once the republican RINO’s are in firm control more of the same politics as usual will occur. The Globalists/Socialists are tightening their hold on power, and they are using an honest and true grassroots movement to do it....
