Sarah Palin Makes a Move...or Two
The Collins Report (Sat 1/09/10) ^ | 1/11/10 | Bruce Karlson

Sarah Palin is scheduled to speak at the Southern Young Republican Conference in April. Her book tour managed to avoid “blue” parts of the country for “red’. She is sitting on a minimum of 6 million dollars as the first installment on her book. Individuals waited hours in awful weather to have her sign a copy of the book.

She has made the requisite non denials of her intentions vis a vis running for President. The Dems were using Alaska’s ethics regulations to make her life miserable and sink any chance she had for national prominence. Their antics simply made it easier for her to leave the governor’s office as they provided a plausible reason. There is not much doubt that, even with her unquestioned love of AK and its people, she was anxious to hit the national stage absent McCain’s “suits”…and Nicole Wallace. The Dems simply made it easier.

The Repub suits have just given her a nudge in the right direction also. By a large margin, the Repub “leaders” chose her fifth as their choice for a nominee. Romney was first. We should be surprised that DeDe Scuzafava or Charlie Christ did not make the list as this bunch clearly knows how to pick winners!!! Their sniffing contempt is a clear harbinger of good news for SP.

It is a long way from here to the nomination and Tim Pawlenty is a credible adversary. The rest may be forgotten except by Repub “leaders”. The public is up to its collective eyebrows with pols, spending, half truths (in Obama’s case, no truths), spending, pork, interference, and taxes. Did I fail to mention corruption and self dealing??

After almost 80 years of accession to expanding government and reduced individual freedom, it has awakened. For the first time in living memory...

I dont know who the press is talking to (rhetoric, yes I do) but Palin is the ONLY presidential candidate in 2012

I wish she would march on GOP headquarters and toss out Michael Steel right now though

I’d rate Pawlenty a little higher than Michael Steele. Not a lot, but Steele has turned out to be another finger-to-the-wind politician, and we have WAY TOO MANY of them! Pawlenty would run on conviction, then become like many of the rest...once in power, just go along to get along.

Personally I consider Pawlenty on the same level and Michael Steele.

Especially since he hired that jerk Steve Schmidt.

If I am not mistaken, Pawlenty raised taxes early in his term.

He also stood silently by while Franken stole the election from Coleman.
