Here is video of former John McCain Campaign Manager Steve Schmidt on "60 Minutes" trying to hurt Gov. Sarah Palin by saying she was repeatedly "inaccurate" in statements she made during the campaign, which forced the McCain campaign to have to correct her statements. Schmidt is reportedly pushing a new book coming out about the campaign.
Listening to this pathetic jerk makes it very clear why the McCain Campaign had no chance for victory. Schmidt was the wrong person to run McCain's campaign, and knows he is finished as a Campaign Manager for GOP candidates. He's trying now to cash in by trashing Palin. Somehow I don't think his book will come close to the sales of Palin's book!
This is a preview of the full interview Schmidt did with Anderson Cooper on "60 Minutes" which will air this Sunday.
Speaking of "inaccurate," Anderson Cooper can't even find the state of Indiana on a U.S. Map!

McCain who?
McCain should be finished as a senator as well. The way he ran the campaign is laughable. He never brought up his ties to Acorn and Rev. Wright. He tried to play it straight against a foe who will do anything to get elected.
For that he should be done in public service.
This Schmidt guy is a real piece of work. What’s up with his endless attacks on Sarah? What’s his real agenda? I never want to see this pathetic loesr’s name attached to another Republican candidate.
Steve Schmidt is also the same guy who advised Governor Shriver of California on virtually all of his FAILED Policies. When you see the name Schmidt associated with any Politician all you need to know is FAILURE. Why he gets hired is beyond me, unless of course you want to fail.
The big question: Will Palin endorse McCain in the AZ senate primary?
If she was so inaccurate why don’t I recall her inaccuracies being an issue during the campaign?
If Schmidt was as smart as he thinks he is, McCain would be president. But he isn’t, in fact, letting Schmidt run the show is the fast lane to failure and defeat.
McCain had no campaign.
What a piece of Schmidt this guy is!!!
The big question: Will Palin endorse McCain in the AZ senate primary?
She’s made a $4,800 endorsement already........
No the question will be, “will JM endorse Gov Palin when she wins the GOP nomination?”
I'm shocked!!
(Got a great view of Schmidt in action while reading Sarah's book - what a jerk.)
Early campaigns
In 1995, Steve Schmidt managed Will T. Scott's unsuccessful campaign for attorney general of Kentucky (Scott is now Deputy Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of Kentucky). This Kentucky campaign's advertising strategy was featured in the second edition of George Magazine, published by John F. Kennedy, Jr. Later, in 1998, Schmidt ran Tim Leslie's unsuccessful race for lieutenant governor of California. That year he was also the Communications Director for the unsuccessful U.S. Senate campaign of Matt Fong. In 1999, he was the communications director for Lamar Alexander's presidential run, leaving in June when the campaign reduced its senior staff.
It’s easy to understand why he’s doing this. Better to paint her as the problem than have people focus on your own ineptitude in running a campaign as he did. Face it Mr. Schit, i mean Mr. Schmidt, you suck as a campaign manager.
A McCain endorsement would be the kiss of death. And 2012 comes after the 2010 AZ senate primary. Palin will have to make her decision first.
Politics: another one of those employment situations where failure results in promotion and enrichment.
Really? If that is the case, then Sarah has jumped the shark. I hope JD Hayworth runs and defeats McCain.
I hope his book FAILS.
