Besides the occasional Republican either voting for socialized medicine or preventing a filibuster of it, the guilt of the association with the proposal that passed the Senate and the GOP is very deep. In fact the recent bill, without the public option (but will force people into public care) looks increasingly like the failed experiment of Massachusetts.

Absolutley. Backing Specter over Toomey, allowing the Plame game to go on, the GOP were pussies for so long opening the door for ObamaCare and 2006 midterms. Now they want us to think they are the alternative. Nope.

Republicans should have been on TV 24/7, blasting and exposing this fraud. They should have asked for time on Rush, Savage, Hannity, etc. And the party should have spent millions on TV ads. Unfortunately there are too many McConnell/Hatch/Grassley limp-wrists who would rather hide under their desks, lest the NY Times print unfavorable articles.

I could not agree with you more. Look at the way the GOP has turned to BIGGER GOVERNMENT every chance they get as well - Bailouts, Bush's Prescription Drug bill - hell the whole damn new Department Of Homeland Security....
