On Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the city of Chula Vista, CA, just south of San Diego, police arrested a homeless man for intentionally setting another homeless man on fire.
29 year old Anthony Padgett was reportedly close friends with his victim, a Mr. Sydney Moreno, who is 20 yrs. his senior. Both are homeless residents of Chula Vista ... Mr. Moreno was reportedly unconscious at the time ...
Mr. Moreno was transported to the UCSD Burn Center where he remains in critical condition, suffering 2nd and 3rd degree burns over at least 30-percent of his body. Mr. Padgett was arrested and booked for attempted murder and mayham ...
Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to call the Chula Vista Police Department at (619) 691-5151 so that proper justice will prevail.
