How Obama's approval rating may predict the 2010 results
Patriot Room ^ | January 6, 2010 | Bill Dupray

Back in April of last year, when Obama's approval rating was at 61%, we ran a piece about the effect of the president's approval rating on the midterm election results (yeah, we were thinking about the midterms that early). The statistics show that just to avoid losing seats, a president needs a 65% approval rating. So with 61%, Obama was already headed for losses at that time.

According to RCP, Obama currently has a 61% approval rating, and it's falling, with the most recent three polls in the high 50's. That puts The One in Bush (1990), Nixon (1970), and Eisenhower (1954) territory, which translates to a loss of between 8 and 18 seats.

Fast forward to today. RCP has Obama's approval rating at 50%.

If King Obama’s rating is 50% approval then America is really sick.

10 months away, not all candidates named yet, no campaigning by either side. that said, with things being what they are right now, I’d say 5 to 7 Senate, 35 to 45 House.

“According to RCP, Obama currently has a 61% approval rating, and it’s falling, with the most recent three polls in the high 50’s. “

You are so right! What the hell is wrong with these people. He and his administration are a dismal failure. His foreign policy really sucks and he has opened America up to terror attacks and will apologize for us if we do get attacked because it was surely our fault. Our kids/grandkids will be POOR forever because of taxes and SICK and DIE because of poor government healthcare. I wish ALL leftists would go to France.
