everyone missed my point, and for that I am sorry. If you know me, you know that I didn’t mean it the way some here think I did. I’m just surprised Brit disparaged Buddhism like that in that context. My point is that I believe spirituality is what saves souls...and that only happens when one WANTS to change. Some don’t want to, some can’t, and some give up. That’s all.
And i think based on the posts to this thread that you misunderstood Brit’s point, much as you felt your comment was misunderstood. The poster, and i would have to scroll back to see and ping him, who was a convert from Buddhism, actually GOT Brit’s point, and elaborated on it. Brit wasn’t bashing Buddhism, he was merely intellectually distinguishing, as the poster did, between the tenets of the two religions, and pointing out that Christianity offers a redemptive approach, whereas Buddhism gives you lots of do-overs, which can lead those believers to continue the bad behavior.
Belief in and acceptance of the Savior, Jesus Christ is the only thing that saves souls.
