It had become clear to the President and top advisers that before Christmas, the US government was in possession of "bits and pieces" of information, which, if they had been properly knitted together, "could have...allowed us to disrupt the attack
In response to the post Northwest flight 253 Janet Napalitano critics, Democratic strategists asserted that President Barack Obama "has been far more aggressive in fighting al Qaeda" than the previous administration . In an e-mail this afternoon to supporters -- which incidentally excoriated Republicans for politicizing the attempted bombing of Flight 253 -- the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) stressed it was President George W. Bush, not his successor, who relegated the fight against the terrorist network to the back burner by turning "its focus from al Qaeda to Iraq."
Today Newsweek has announced a revelation that throws that assertion into question, on December 22nd, three days before the attempted underwear bombing the president was warned that an attack my be imminent.

” Your doing a heck of a good job there, Incompatano!”
It must be bad for Obama when Spewsweek drops a dime on him.

This was always obvious.
Doin’ a heckuva job there, Barry...
How many terrorist attacks on the US has the government failed to prevent since Obama became “president”?
There was the Fort Hood massacre.
The attack on the recruiting office in Little Rock.
The Christmas bombing.
Are there others?
What utter garbage. These leftists just keep spewing the same tired and thoroughly debunked talking points.
Is 0’s religion a liability to the safety of this country?
Yep.
June 1, 2009 - The founder of a Muslim TV station beheads his wife in the hallway for seeking a divorce and
October 20, 2009 - A woman dies from injuries suffered when her father runs her down with a car for being too Westernized
Those sound more like personal murder rather than terrorism. They weren’t aimed at random targets for the purpose of creating fear among the populace.
This is sure to become just the beginning of a long list... Buy Ammo.
He needs his rest.
Beheadings and killings of family members who are "too westernized" by Muslims fits the category, no matter the number of victims. This IS America after all, NOT the Middle East.
His decision-making process is definitely a liability to the safety of this nation. Those he's appointed to security positions have not made any changes to secure our nation from radical Islamic threats over and above what the Bush administration put in place. They could have easily ascertained vital communication was not being shared and rectified the problem, but instead failed to do so. This IS on Obama's watch and he and his minions have fumbled the ball of protecting Americans.
Janet Napolitano has, instead, been championing Amnesty for illegal aliens, further neglecting the security of our nation by leaving the borders wide open and, in fact, going after Sheriff Joe Arpaio for his attempts to follow US laws on the books regarding illegal immigration. It is utterly shameful and endangers each and every American citizen by her political view of protecting illegal aliens (many of them other than Mexicans) over US citizens.
I watched an excellent Netflix movie tonight called "Border." I didn't know that the southern border has had to employ Chinese interpreters in order to converse with all the Chinese crossing there.....

The Border Patrol in the Tucson sector has caught at least 261 Chinese crossers this year, compared toan average of 32 during the past four years, officials say.
"They are the main [non-Mexicans] we catch," said Agent Juventino Pacheco of the Patrol's international liason unit here. "Lately we have been catching more Chinese than Central Americans in Nogales."
Border security - apprehensions of "other than Mexican" aliens<./a>
OTMs apprehended along the Southwest border by the USBP between official POE cannot be returned to Mexico because Mexico will not accept them. Instead, they must be returned to their countries of origin, or third countries that will accept them, by the Office of Detention and Removal Operations (DRO) within Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). However, DRO does not have enough detention beds to accommodate every OTM that is apprehended. As a result of this, the majority of OTMs apprehended by the USBP are released into the interior of the United States with notices to appear before an immigration judge. Most of these released OTMs fail to show up for their hearings and are not ultimately removed. In order to address the increasing number of OTMs being apprehended and circumvent the regular removal process, the USBP is currently expanding its Expedited Removal (ER) program. Issues for Congress include the potential for terrorist infiltration, the lack of detention bed-space that causes OTMs to be released into the interior of the country, and how best to deploy DHS resources to address the growing number of OTMs entering into the country illegally.
Everybody and their brother is doing just that. Went to a Big 5 store for ammo last week and they were out of some bullets. They said there is still high demand and the lower priced bullets sell out fast.
