Hmmm. He must have seen the polls. If this isn't a full retreat, I have never seen one.
Sen. Ben Nelson (D-Neb.) reached out Thursday evening to South Carolina GOP Attorney General Henry McMaster, the leader of a group of 13 Republican state attorneys general who are threatening to file suit against the Senate health care bill, and urged him to forgo any legal action, POLITICO has learned.
According to a copy of a memo sent by McMasters chief of staff to other GOP state attorneys general detailing the call, Nelson asked McMaster to call off the dogs, a reference to recent threats by the state AGs to file a lawsuit challenging the constitutionality of a Medicaid provision in the bill that benefits Nebraska at the expense of other states. . . .

Typical. He was for it before he was against it.
As an aside, Karl Denninger has an interesting take on the Senate Socialist Medicine bill.
He thinks that it has been deliberately written to be unconstitutional (the requirement of the citizenry to purchase health insurance). That the plan is to pass it, be sued, and have it the bill so stated that if the requirement of the citizenry is determined to be unconstitutional, that the federal government will have no choice but to offer the government option, thus cramming through the “socialist” aspect of this tyrannical effort much earlier.
The idiots could spare themselves a lot of grief if they actually listened to some real people.
I think they need to depose Nelson, Obama and Axelrod to find out what was actually promised and threatened.
Nelson better hope that Queen Nanners doesn’t shove this Senate Bill down our throats without further congressional review or this albatross will be shackled to hen Ben’s neck
as his legacy! He’s toast irregardless but to what shade of burnt remains to be seen.
Too little, too late, Buttboy.
I’ll call off the dogs.........Sic ‘em...go get ‘em boy...sic ‘em, sic ‘em.
Nelson like Bill Nelson of FL (D) is a POS.
However, with the latest terrorism scare it hard to tell which way the wild pigs with stampede.
He shouldn’t be able to contact the AG’s that are going to SUE!
I’m curious if any of these fools were sober when they voted.
Yep. It takes a real arrogant or just plain stupid SOB to do what he did.
I hope there is no escaping his fate by apologizing. The POS deserves to be tarred and feathered.
Those ain’t the blue dogs gonna sic ‘em this time.
Time for the pit bull brigade biting Ben’s ho’ butt.
Nelson, typical demonRAT!.....out of office next election!

Trust me, I did not act like a whore and sell my vote.
Your time is up and to those to whom you sold your vote do not even remember your name.
Shi* happen, and I guess it sucks to be you.
Did Nelson run a poltical ad during the Nebraska football game? Any feedback on the results?
