Clearly, this is my month to really annoy liberals. After picking Rush Limbaugh as Man of the Year, I pick the liberal version of Satan as man of the decade. But again, I ask you, read my arguments, and then make up your mind...
Most decades are defined by the Presidents who dominate them. FDR dominated the 30s and 40s. Eisenhower the fifties, LBJ the sixties. The Seventies were the decade of incompetence. The eighties clearly was Ronald Reagan's, and Clinton dominated the nineties. In the same way, for good or ill, President George W. Bush had the most profound affect on the last decade, and that is why he is clearly my person of the decade.

About your accusations of "moral failing"....most of them are differences in political opinion.....and unless you see your politics as the standard of morality (which you obviously do, dear eleni), then your entire thesis is distorted.
I could take more of my precious time and refute all your "moral failing" accusations, but it really won't make much difference, will it?
You are emotionally invested in believing that President Bush is a bad person (not different from the most evil man ever to be in the White House), and no amount of rational discussion will divert you from your feelings.
Therefore, I will consider all my previous posts as sufficient to convince anyone who is rational, and leave you to your feelings of betrayal and personal animus.
Happy New Year, eleni. We've got another year with Obama. At least it's not Bush, eh?
There is a world of difference between blind loyalty and objective examination of the facts some of which I have presented to you.
You have chosen to huddle among the blind loyalists.
And there is absolutely nothing blind about seeing a brother in Christ, observing carefully and critically his behavior and character, and respecting and admiring what I see (and millions of others with me).
This is going NOwhere. Take care of those emotions, eleni.
And have a Happy New Year without George W. Bush to bring you down.
Plain and simple. Nothing ambiguous about that.
I detest “what culture war?” pack behavior and echo chamber demagoguery.
Bush’s brotherly Christian love?
Bush on Palin:
Im trying to remember if Ive met her before. Im sure I must have.
What is she, the governor of Guam?
Gillespie tells him that conservatives were greeting the choice enthusiastically, he replied,
Shes interesting, You know, just wait a few days until the bloom is off the rose. This woman is being put into a position she is not even remotely prepared for,
She hasnt spent one day on the national level. Neither has her family. Lets wait and see how she looks five days out.
Would you like to know what he said about McCain in 2000?
Some “brother in Christ”.
I haven't seen a single post here that even remotely seems as though a shrew had written it.......except perhaps yours.
But that's OK. You apparently amuse yourself, and I guess that's what counts, eh?
btw, I'm an across the board long time conservative......social and otherwise. Does that make me a "harpy" by your definition? Just curious.
Peace, eleni. No more, please. You've made your point ad nauseum.
I notice you didn’t source your quotes. Where do those quotes come from?
Wishing you a blessed productive New Year. May the Lord keep us safe.
Now, please work to get rid of the Marxist in the White House and to elect conservatives to Congress along with the rest of us conservatives, and I think you'll get over your anger more quickly.
Sheesh. Another blog-pimp.
We shall do what we can to return the USA to honor, with real conservatives running the show not RINOS like Bush.
As for anger...it’s more like frustration. Frustration with those like you who cannot manage to recover from personality cult issues in order to work for what is best for this nation.
Anger and hatred are not conservatism.
What's best for this nation right now is for conservatives to work together. You apparently don't want to do that. I do.
When you take care of the issues interfering with your understanding of the overall goal of moving this country to the right, let me know. You're a bulldog for what you feel. Once you feel like doing what's best for the country, we can work together.
Until then.....
You apparently don’t want to do that. I do.
I'm active in the Tea Party movement, I'm supporting very conservative candidates with my time and money. I'm involved in the pro-life movement. (I don't consider saying nasty things about President Bush poltical activism of any kind. You're just venting, I'm working for conservatism).
At any rate, whether your lying or just tunnel visioned, I've really had enough, and I'm moving on to work with other conservatives.
As of now this is a free country, so you can do whatever you want......even if it's nothing.
As for me, you are on permanent "ignore" status, as one who can't think clearly.
Thanks for revealing that about yourself. You've helped me understand the kind of people who hate President Bush.
I leave you with Monica Compean’s words about Bush, the president who couldn't see past his “compassion” to pardon these 2 heroes but allowed thousands of Muslims and other illegals into the country during his term:
“How could President Bush say that he wanted to secure our borders and that he would double the size of the Border Patrol when my husband is in prison,” she asked WND. “Ignacio was trying to secure our border from drug smugglers. And what do we get? I have to show my children their father in prison in chains and I have to explain to them that the president of the United States is a liar.”
Nuff said...you keep that personality cult going.
Take your meds. Good bye.
I see you have met OhioWbot. She absolutely worships GWB and sees him as the second coming. And she sees Sarah as the third coming, because she assumes Palin is just like Bush.
She is a retired professor who ruled her classrooms with only one opinion allowed, hers. She is fast to threaten fellow freepers with the moderators. She is still living back in the 2002 days of “You are either with Bush or against America, so choose NOW!” . Well now Bush is not very popular anymore, even here at FR. But in her mind he still is.
