Are you just sitting there twiddling your thumbs? Biting your lip, worried over the health bill that just passed the senate? Think all hope is lost? Well get off your butt and act. Organize protests, send out e-mails, contact your representatives. Perhaps most important of all, contact your governor, and your state representatives, and ask them to take advantage of the 10th amendment, and block the health bill from taking effect in your state. Let Pelosi and Reid know that we won't just roll over and take this bitter pill.

“I’ve started to reach the conclusion I’m wasting my time. I’m just gonna vote these bastards out next November.”

If we still even HAVE elections...

Exactly. If we don’t, I’ll see out there in a rice paddy somewhere, maybe if fate has it, we’ll be shoulder-to-shoulder.

I emailed my state's senators, but was ignored. I've now gone back to my representative in anticipation of a vote on any joint House/Senate plan.

Well, I received a “form letter” email from his office saying that this rep will try to answer my email after the holidays, but in the meantime, why don't I sign up for his monthly newsletter?

My guess is that this rep won't respond. When this mess was up for vote in the House, I tried to call him — voice mail full. I tried email using his online form...was told that it was “undelverable.” This guy is a coward; he knows this so-called health care reform is a bad idea; he knows his constituents don't support it; but thanks to bribery and/or intimidation, he will probably vote for it anyway.

Calling and writing doesn't seem to help. Some significant, mass protests however may get the attention of these bums. I figure that next year a number of them will be voted out; unfortunately, they can do (and are doing) a lot of damage beforehand.

Maybe because we have been doing this, protesting, marching on Washington, faxing and calling, all to be ignored. At some point you start to think it’s useless.

What really scares me is that one or more of these politicians is going to be taken out - permanently. How much more will the American people take of being ignored and walked all over before somebody decides to take things into their own hands?

Note - I do not condone this in any way, shape or form as only He has the right to decide when our time on earth is through. However, there are plenty of whack-jobs out there who don't feel the same way.

Keep praying for our country and her leaders. They need it.

Our Founding Fathers raised an army and started killing the people who obeyed the King.

This is the only answer IMO. Anything less is just fluff.

The Tea Party movement needs to switch from focusing on Congress to focusing on the media. If ABC/CBS/NBC/Washington Post/etc refuses to accurately cover the Tea Party protests then the politicians in Washington don’t think the country really cares.

It is time to protest in front of the network headquarters and at the advertisers on the network news. Hit the local affiliates as well, if they are going to lie on the network evening news then pressure the locals to drop the network news.

I live in Texas. My senators are OK (at least on this) and my rep, Charlie G-G-G-Gonzales is a marxist in the hereditary Gonzales seat, so I’ve done what I can.
