There is a lot of good stuff here, if you read it.
But I think there are a couple of points which are not mentioned on the site:
1. The fact that the groups not only meet together regularly under close supervision (Obama Youth?), but the constant psychological reinforcement among the members makes them almost impervious to reason: they will get their approval from their own group, almost like cult members, and will react instinctively to protect against any threat. Think of the trained attack dogs in Animal Farm.
2) This shows the strength of Obama as a "community organizer."
3) Who is paying for all this stuff?
4) How will all of these databases, tracking information, etc., be applied to keep NON-members in line? Report formats can be modified to keep tabs on perceived enemies as well. (See also here.)
Other thoughts, contact, diagnosis welcome.
Cheers!
...and Merry Christmas.
Cheers!
You know what, this is just bureaucracy at work.
When you have a bunch of government workers of course they will turn it into a huge bureaucracy just to run the campaign.
Just because you gather the data, what are you going to do with it? How does it drive your decisions? etc...
The first thing in effective management is to ask if it is even worth doing the task, does it add value?
If not, don’t do it.
I am not particularly impressed to see the Democrats wasting money on all of this. It just says to me, they aren’t focused. They have had so much money injected in the last election that they did a shot gun approach, a lot of this will never pan out.
