On election night, I grieved from knowing, knowing what was to come: something utterly unlike the America in which I grew up with such hope and patriotic pride.

That's exactly how I felt. And unfortunately, our fears have been realized.

I thought I was alone. For days after the election I mourned. The tea party movement showed me I wasn't alone and has given me some hope. I don't want the chains. I don't want our children to be chained.

I have taken comfort in knowing that no kingdom, or politician has their place without it being God's will. We are suffering through this for a reason that God knows. We have to be strong and do the right things. I hope we don't let down God or past and future generations of Americans.
