I have come to the conclusion that after reading the story on methane burping lakes in Alaska, (video accompanies the article) which was posted on the Anchorage Daily News, there is a little bit of a mischievous, natural scientist in all of us.
For those of us who as adolescents, conducted an experiment using a match or lighter on a close friend who had chili or beans for dinner, we know the outcome of the mischievous scientific experiment on a willing friend.
Singed pants.

I have often thought that the science behind GW was seriously flawed simply because other factors were not taken into account such as solar contributions (or lack thereof), cosmic rays, and the aforementioned methane.
It's a pity that climatologists involved with this fiasco were so set on their ideology that they forgot to do real science.
Some years ago I attempted to obtain ice core fission-track data in order to do my own paleoclimate reconstruction (just for fun mind you, I'm not a climatologist) but my requests were met with surprising questions like "why do you need the data?" and "who do you work for?". I've never been denied data before.
Something has *smelled* about GW for a long time. I'm glad suspicions have been raised.
In SW Ohio, we were once covered by a glacier almost 2 miles thick but it eventually melted (receded) back to the Arctic. Man made GW? Really?
