Old Democratic presidential aspirant John Edwards won $175 million in judgments over a 12-year period suing doctors, hospitals and insurance companies, everyone but the candy stripers, over infant cerebral palsy cases allegedly caused by mishandled deliveries.
As the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists noted in a study in 2003, cerebral palsy could not be blamed on delivery trouble in the vast majority of cases. Using bad science, Edwards enriched himself by bankrupting innocent physicians. The effect is not restricted to insurance costs. Lawsuits cause doctors to run additional and possibly unessential procedures:

Not only that, tort reform is a state issue. 20 something states have already passed it. The feds have no business getting into it at all. It’s a state court matter.

You didn’t read well. Its not only the Malpractice, its the FEAR of malpractice that causes some doctors to order extra tests.

Specifically, my problem is that your article is improperly source/linked and goes to a garbage blog that is soliciting tips/money.
Generally, my problem is the number of blog pimps coming to FR to post threads trying to attract hits to their blogs.
Obviously You didnt go to the blog and read the post, there half the information was original first of all, second of all you didn’t even read the Freep post because it said as much.
