While it's fun to dream of every clown in DC swept and told to look for a real job, then having the new people go in and rescind their pensions, I don't think that will happen.

If a Tea Party forms in Minnesota and nominates good people, I might even vote for them. I hope a Tea Party would feel free to stay with good conservative existing people like Michele Bachmann. Minnesota is a liberal state, and a Tea Party will only have an affect at the margin here. Without care, it might do more harm than good in Minnesota.

We have FORTY REPUBLICANS IN THE SENATE, AND ALL FORTY ARE VOTING AGAINST THIS HIDEOUS LEGISLATION. There are Sixty Democrats in the Senate and all sixty are voting FOR this socialist garbage. Dont’ tell me we’re better off with Dems instead of Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins; they are better votes than Webb, Bayh or Toupee Nelson anytime. There is no need for a third party; deal with the one we have!

“Split the conservative vote down the middle and assure victory for the Commies.”

Or so we’ve been led to believe. What if *most* Conservatives chose this new party?

This makes me question Beck going on the road with this traitors Bold fresh tour. If he doesnt have the intellgence to come to the conclusion a third party means defeat and that Oreilly is a tool for the left then he needs to be marginalized also.

You are right about that ... the strength of the tea party movement is a common set of values and principles, not that it has a leader. We should stick to that point most adamantly.

If anything Beck taught us how ...

CAUTION: RINO pushing 3rd party (who will always help ‘rats to win) to minimize Conservatives. You have this exactly right. Bill O'Reilly is a RINO. Talk of a third party will only hurt us and assure BO of a second term. We must not go down this rat hole.

Did anyone, this time 2 years ago, think we would have a Marxist/commie/suspect citizen in the WH?

Perhaps, considering the wimpiness of the GOP, a third party based on Conservative value is worth a shot.

Never know til ya go.

Forget a third party.

We need a SECOND one.

Check the polling data, you split the vote 3 ways with the Democrats taking the largest chunk and thus winning every time.

Take it up with the GOP and stop blaming the victims.

No, better if you try thinking about our point for once rather then just clinging to your dogma of political purity. Instead of playing the victim card, try thinking about the facts. A Democrat is a Democrat. No matter what they say to you when campaigning back home, when they get to DC they turn into flaming Leftists. In 2006 and 2008 we had Freepers, such as yourself, run around here who spent all their time telling us “Better a Conservative Democrat then a RINO.” Now EVERY single one of those “Conservative” Democrat is voting to nationalize the US Health Care System, every single “RINO” is voting against it. When people vote, they are not only voting for that candidate, they are also voting for who controls the levers of power in DC. People need to remember that, not just vote for the candidate with the best sounding campaign speeches and spend all their time mindlessly bitching because the people on there side are not 100% ivory pure.

If you cannot get Conservatives/Libertarians organized enough to take back the GOP which all ready agrees with most of the Tea Party platform, what insanity makes you think you can do the much more difficult work it takes to organize a viable political movement?
