Yes, this is different from the status quo. Today's insurance companies are upfront about limits. Our government is telling us there will be no limits, and according to the article this provision is buried in a section entitled No lifetime or annual limits. Typically, this is called "fraud".
Secondly, the bill reportedly allows drug companies to block anyone from ever creating cheaper generic drugs. So people reliant on these medicines will reach their limits more quickly because the less expensive drugs will be withheld from them forever. At least they will be illegal in the US. You would have to make drug runs to Mexico to get your life-saving medications.
That is a pretty darned liberal blog too... They are working for a public option... and still are blasting this...
Harrys getting up there, if passed I would love to see him denied and watch him slowly fade away in excruciating pain.
This doesn’t surprise me one bit.
First bath they’ve had in awhile.

Dear Governor Perry,
On March 30, 2009 the Texas House of Representatives passed HCR 50 affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment.
You have publicly supported this bill, and stated that attorney generals from all over the union could be getting ready to sue the US Government.
We are asking you to take the lead.
We are asking you to order the Texas Attorney General to publicly begin working on a law suit under Article IV, Ninth, and Tenth Amendment of the Constitution.
We are asking you to protect the citizens of Texas that we will not stand for government controlled healthcare in our state.
Under your leadership we can effectively kill the proposal of this administration and allow Texas to be a state free from socialism and collectivism.
Be the voice of reason in the national debate and allow Texans the ability to solve the problems of our state.
Thank you,

Facts about the 10th Amendment:
The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) of the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791. The Tenth Amendment restates the Constitutions principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states or the people.

HCR 50 HAS PASSED THE HOUSE 99-36!
Affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the U.S. Constitution, serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates, and providing that certain federal legislation be prohibited or repealed.
Take Action! Before it is too late!

REMEMBER THIS,TEXANS:
Feds Have Built Only 32 Miles of 700 Mile Double-Border Fence Originally Mandated by Congress
One reason DHS has been able to do this is an amendment that Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R.-Texas) slipped into an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress passed on December 18, 2007. Hutchisons amendment put a loophole in the fence law that allowed the secretary of Homeland Security not to build the fence Congress had mandated the year before.

REMEMBER THIS WHEN YOU VOTE FOR GOVERNOR
The dems don’t care about peoples’ health. They care about 2 things:
government control over health care
transferring money from those who earn it to those who vote democrat
Ping to such awful stuff?
Thank you, I guess.
I know about drug costs. I have MS, and even though the drug I take has been on the market since the mid 90’s there is still no generic...costs average around $2500 per month. This is the explanation they give as to why there probably will never be a generic.

m0r0ns, every one of them.
Do they not realize or maybe they DO, that the drug companies aren’t going to spend money on creating new medications for old and new illnesses because of this Health Care Bill.
These Liberals are dumber than m0r0ns! They’re gonna get sick and there won’t be a cure for them because of this Health Care bill.
We have to work HARD in 2010 and we need to be sure our STATES are being governed by Conservative Governors and Legislators.
PLEASE inundate Congress with emails about this.
I’ll be so glad when Harry Reid is deposed. He is just pure evil for doing this.
Well, the good people of the State of Nevada elected him to be one of their Senators. And when the time comes they will elect him again.
“What happens when the government treats that lifetime limit like they have AMT. If they dont adjust the limit we will all eventually come up against the limit. Then only the super rich will survive.”
IIRC, under the Health Care Bill you are not allowed to spend your own money over and above their benefits.(Except for deductibles.)
So the super rich will have to travel to some resort clinic.
That’s about it.
