People like Ward Connerly, Clarence Thomas, Janice Rogers Brown and of course Windflier are not the kind of people Thomas Paine referred to as 'sunshine patriots' and 'summer soldiers.'

Darn right we're not. And we patriots will prevail against the evil that now besets us.

We should all take heart from those Americans who endured the unendurable at Valley Forge, when all looked so hopeless for the cause of freedom.

I can clearly picture General Washington kneeling in the winter snow, praying to God for a miracle. His prayers were answered, as will ours be, for we are of the same spirit as those great patriots of yesteryear.

We will prevail.

I have a feeling that the spirit of those who left bloody footprints on the frozen ground of that time lives in you Windflier. With more like you, perhaps that sun will rise. At any rate, it's an honor to share this forum with you.
